He will be back on Thursday. And he will play well. He is not a lost cause. Do you really think Nelson will be ready to go from being out for the entire season so far? It will take time. You dont have a choice but to hope Gaines can rebound. Which I think he can. The team as a whole lost this game.

I’ve never seen someone who is in great position almost every time but somehow has no ball skills what so ever

At least Sorenson attempts to tackle which is more than I can say for a lot of the secondary.

I have not read the entire thread, but apparently the Chiefs PR Wanks shielded the press away from Gaines after the game so he wouldn't have to answer questions like "Hey Phil, how the F*** do you let a ball go through both hands, bounce off your head, and land right in Brown's chest for a game losing TD? Can you explain that, Phil?"....

He should have to sack up and face the music. Might make him play harder so he doesn't have to face the press again after screwing the pooch.

Sorensen has had some good games for us. Gaines has always been targeted. Denver lit him up last year in the Doink game. Any time he's out there, he's the weak link on pass defense. Bench him. Put Murray in his spot.

Ron Parker has been somewhat invisible. I don't know if that's good or bad. They may just not be throwing to the Peters/Parker side of the field, and going Gaines/Sorensen instead.

I did get to see Eric Berry going down the stairs with his crutches after the game. I told him how much we miss him and please come back strong. I admire him being out there on the sideline. He doesn't have to be.

While we are at it, let's bench Mitchell since he gives up a ton of yards and put acker in his place. Oh wait, let's bench peters and bring someone up from the practice squad since he sucks at tackling. You are crazy to think gaines isnt the best the chiefs have at this time to play the nickel.It was a fluke play. Im sure this is really hard on him as well. Chill.

Not a savior, but it helps for 2 reasons.

1. Nelson is a solid CB.

2. It gets Gaines off of the field.

To be fair, our pass defense has been overall rather good so far and one could say that the passrush could be improved just as much as the coverage by the secondary.

In all reality Sorenson should really only play that nickel LB spot. Murray should be starting at safety with Parker. Today's league is all about coverage and Murray smoked Sorensen there. He'd have been in position for that ball
