Alexander wasn't going to do shit for our no name depth this year, other than add another no name to it.

He's a developmental prospect. If you were looking for an easy way to add a 2018 contributor, Alexander was not the player for you.

Well, I was more disappointed on missing out on Beal to be honest. I thought Alexander would fit the bump and run scheme nicely and has good hands. "Developmental" isn't necessarily a term used on CB's because they generally either can play or can't play in the NFL and that's noticed pretty early. Both could have contributed right away.

Development at the corner position happens all the time. A lot of guys are instantly great out of college, but a bunch of them need time as well.

It's no more a "now or never" position than offensive line.

Now RB, on the other hand....

Chiefs pass on the two cornerbacks in the supplemental draft and it doesn't surprise me. The club is very high on 6th-rounder Tremon Smith and UDFA Arrion Springs. They think both are diamonds in the rough. Adding a third rookie corner poses a real developmental challenge.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm excited to see our rookie CBs get picked on again and again and again to the point of where their confidence to play the position is beyond repair.

Gonna happen. The CB's except for Fuller are JAGS, and he might be if he is to play on an island instead of where he excelled. Safety is not much better save for Berry, and we don't know how he'll play coming off his injury. Cant fix everything in one year though, so I get it. BUT, it's gonna get UGLY before it gets better. And, it may not get better this season. CB and the Secondary will be next season's priority. Just gotta roll with what we have this season.
