He probably would, but not for the reason you're implying.

But because Reid is so damn good at knowing how to use his RB's. Gordon as an accessory in an offense that knows how to create lanes for a guy might be pretty dangerous.

Gordon as a featured back? Meh.

I think most agree and he's not the featured back in Denver... hell, only a handful of teams have that anymore.

I think Melvin Gordon can be productive with Lindsay. I don't think anyone is expecting him to bring us a Lombardi Trophy.

But I have to say that I love coming here after stuff like this. The headline could be, "Broncos sign Bo Jackson in his prime!" You guys could pretty much cut-and-paste whatever you said for the last pick/signing.

Bo Jackson is one of the most overrated running backs in NFL history. You can have him.

That’s off the top of my head. Shit dude Gurley had arthritis in his knee and was still better. His replacement (Ekeler) had 3X as many 4 YPC seasons as him and a twice as many TD’s as a receiver in 2019 than any season Gordon had.

Gordon isn’t even a top half of the league back. He might not even be top 20 at this point
If Melvin Gordon put up Damien Williams numbers in the Super Bowl he’d be considered an iconic running back in this era.

I have always thought they should target a trio like Powell, Crowell and Ajayi... I mean this is the most telling of all stats and a true leading indicator for success.

Ok, I'm done with the Gordon commentary. I like the signing - believe he's going to add a nice dimension to what they're doing.
