Amazing that a team of players at the top of their profession, coming off back to back Super Bowl appearances, their fourth consecutive AFCCG would have the cockiness/confidence to think that they can do what they want. ****ing Crazy, wow... color me shocked, holy moly, wozers, etc etc

The real issue that I find, is their inability to sometimes adjust and just get back to basics when its there for the taking. Looking at that Cincy game -- its easy to look back and say we should've done this or done that -- why we didn't run the ball that much in the second half, when we gashing them for 6-8 yards a rush is a little baffling.

I know we want the ball in Mahomes' hands and that is the way we are going to win 87.63% of the time. But, I think when the running game is as difficult to stop as it was for the Bengals, and they are begging us to run it against light boxes, we need to do it! Maybe we should've maybe stuck with the run a little more and allow it to open up the throwing lanes for Mahomes and co. -- I really feel like I'm nitpicking

I have trust in Andy and Mahomes that they will learn and they will be motivated next year. Just sometimes when the defense is telling the right answer, you just gotta go with that answer and not make it harder on yourself.

I pray the rams have been watching that tape extensively and have a RB good enough to exploit it.

That and Darnold chopping up Burrow into little tiny sheriff meatballs repeatedly.

I really want to see the Bengals get destroyed in the Super Bowl now. Like Manning against the Seahawks destroyed.

Yeah, we don't even have to imagine what would happen if things had gone to hell against a better team like the Bills, because we saw it earlier in the season... they would have been destroyed in the 2nd half.

And despite how bad the Chiefs were against the Bengals, they still managed OT and won the toss and had every opportunity to win that game... they didn't exactly crush them in the 2nd half or anything.

I hate to say it, but when you lose a game the way we did you open yourself up for this type of commentary.

The question is if Andy and Mahomes learned from it. We have the offensive line to maul people and dominate the run game. The question is if Andy and Patrick are willing to win any way possible or if it's going to be a their way or the highway approach.

Being adaptable is a trait our offense can possess if we want. Being adaptable is how we win 6 Super Bowls instead of 2. It's up to us to decide what kind of team we want to be.

That's a luxury most teams do not have.

This would actually make a lot of sense too.

They go into halftime and a coach tells the defense, "Hey guys, everytime mahomes does this it's a run, but every time he does this it's a pass."

If they figured out something like that then it could explain the drastic shift in play between halves.
Yeah this. That would actually make TOTAL logical sense as to what transpired.

"managed OT" could be a bit misleading because KC scored exactly zero points in the 2nd half before the FG to tie. And that was after a fumble that nearly cost KC that opportunity. The only reason KC managed OT was because CIN's offense was held back just enough.

KC's offense looked like vomit in that 2nd half. Which is why its all the more baffling that no one on the sidelines had the slightest clue what to do.

Except it isn’t. They knew what we were doing bc our playcalling got bland. The INT proved that

We have GOT to install some sort of traditional running game in this offense over the offseason. I dunno if Andy will do it, but I can't think of any game where his inclination to abandons the run has screwed us that bad before. Hopefully that was the straw that breaks the camel's back.
