If they can keep from doing so it keeps his cap hit in the future from being an issue.

I prefer to tag OBJ instead of HB.

It likely means a bigger payday next year, but I'd rather we get a bigger sample size of success before committing a huge amount to our 2nd most important position.

Bigger sample size?

Browns went to the last 3 probowls with half that time playing RT and half at LT.

He vastly improved as the year went on as a LT.

He doesn’t have injury concerns.

Hes young.

He’s got a HOF pedigree.

**** the noise…give him the appropriate contract and move on to other positions.

Brown is going to get the tag but he won't end up playing on it. I'd say it's 99% likely that he's tagged and then signs later in the offseason.

Honestly, I think it happens kinda fast, but I could see it taking till the deadline like it did with Chris. The tag money will count a lot towards the usable space for FA, so I’m sure Veach is trying to knock it out as fast as he can. Getting those 2 deals done dictates the rest of their moves ability to happen.
