We literally drafted a first round DE in case this shit happened. It's time for them to take the diapers off FAU. Even if that means he's only coming on the field for obvious passing downs

He'll surely have surgery this week and he'll be back to rehabbing with minimal atrophy.
9 months is still a pretty aggressive timeline. It isn't impossible or even unlikely that he'd be back by November, but I don't think you can plan on it.

And half the season is still half the season. Even if he's back by week 8/9, he's still gotta get himself into football shape. It took him 4-6 weeks to really look impressive here after the suspension. He doesn't play a turnkey game - he's gotta get in rhythm.

It's gonna put a dent in his 2024 season for sure.

The more I think about it the more I don't think this is a game for FAU. He's kind of a one trick pony and a 3rd down rusher only at this point.
