****Official Thanksgiving NFL Games thread****

Three on the docket on this Thanksgiving day, 2024. In order of kick-off:

Bears +9.5 @ Lions (47.5)

Giants +3.5 @ Cowboys (37.5)

Dolphins +3.5 @ Packers (47.5)

Great day for a 3-team parlay. But which teams to pick? What's up with that Giants/Cowboy's total of 37.5 it has to go over that right? Intrigue abounds.

I don’t want to sound like one of those dudes, but it’s almost a little ridiculous. If we end up playing them in the SB, Spags is going to have to put on a masterclass.

Two straight three and outs where the bears run on first down against an outstanding run defense. What do they do on first down? Run the ball. Makes sense.

Goff does not like exotic blitzes.

Spags is the perfect DC to take them on.

I don’t think the Bears could win this game with two pick 6s.

Even their staff has given up. Can’t say I blame them.

I don’t entirely understand the Goff slander. Nobody is treating him like an mvp QB. Feel like people know who he is. The guy can consistently win games and unlike Alex smith he’s more than just a game manager. You have to prepare for him turning into a pumpkin but you know what, brees and rodgers did that in the playoffs for 20 years and nobody wanted to talk about it. He’s not nearly in the same class as josh Allen or mahomes, but the majority of QBs would not have the same level of success even with all the weapons.

We’re just blessed with a qb who has been so consistently good and matchup proof for so long. .

Yeah, I don't get it either. Goff doesn't need to be anything above average with that offense. I know it's a regular season game, but Bryce Young looked great last week without any real weapons or running game. You need a dominant front four to stop this Lions offense.

The other hope is they've had so many blowouts, they may fall apart in key moments in close games in the playoffs. That said, they did win closer games earlier in the year against good teams.

Are the Bears gonna go the entire first half without a first down?

He checks a lot of boxes you want for franchise QB but he has had two of the greatest offensive play callers in the NFL most of his career in McVay and now Ben Johnson.

If they meet a team like Buffalo they could easily win the SB with Goff.

That's why it is imperative we get there, we're the best chance to stop them.
