I don’t see FAU being much more than rotational depth. Horrible waste of a first round pick by Veach.

I'd love to get a big NT type guy to pair with Jonesy as a complement in this draft. I don't a 3 tech type is the best move.

I don't want another heavy footed DE type. We sorely lack a win at the snap type. But that's just my opinion.

A great TE is a good idea, but I'd also really like an explosive RB-and I think I'd like that MORE.

But in all reality, you just have to stack good football players. What we really need is no misses in the first 3 rounds this year.

After watching RunKC's thread on Elijah Arroyo, maybe we need to do a comparison between him and Loveland, and who would be more dangerous in Andy's offense?

As a Canes fan that absolutely loves Arroyo, Loveland is a significantly better prospect.

Doesn't mean Arroyo can't be the better player long term, but they both have very high ceilings, and Loveland is just a safer bet to get there.

Yeah, I don't have those two in the same tier as prospects.

Warren/Loveland is Tier 1.

Fannin, Taylor, Arroyo, Helm are T2.

There's a big ol' mess of guys in T3. You have poor man's Taylor with Ferguson. You have poor man's Fannin with Gadsden. Poor man's Helm with Evans.

But yeah, I don't see Arroyo as being close to Loveland right now.

I don't think it necessarily precludes them from taking Loveland, but the Broncos signing Engram at least makes it much lsss likely.

If he doesn't go there, he might legitimately be in for a fall. If he somehow made it all the way to 31, you'd have to take him IMO. It has nothing to do with replacing Kelce either. It's all about the talent.

I think it may be the opposite and they feel like Loveland won’t be there for them. Jets are probably gonna be in the mix for a TE. Bears will certainly be in the mix for Jeanty or a TE. I think the Colts will too.

Seems like the Broncos might target Arroyo in rd 2

It would be pretty surprising if Loveland and Warren are both gone before the Broncos picks. They're really good, but they're still TEs, and neither is Brock Bowers. I just think the Broncos are gearing up to take a WR or Hampton.

I agree. I think both could be gone by pick 20. They are really good TEs in a league that's making the TE more of a focal point every year given the success of guys like Kelce.

I couldn’t see passing on him unless there’s another major faller. But it seems pretty unlikely that two true round 1 grades fall with the qb and tackle class we’re looking at.

I'm also thinking not working out at the combine makes him falling more of a possibility.

Worthy, Rice, and Loveland would just be an absolutely filthy trio.

Today I ran a few mock drafts and in 3-4 of them both Simmons and Nolen were available. I'm not a draft guru like some here, which one would you take if it were a choice?

Probably Simmons. I think Nolen might have a higher ceiling, and in a position of greater need...but lower value. I'd LOVE Nolan, but he's still fairly raw. There's a non-zero chance that Simmons becomes a wasted pick. I don't think Nolen would, at worst he'd be a solid contributor who flashed high-end potential.

But, I don't think I could pass up a possible opportunity for a long-term, above average LT if it fell to us in R1. I'd then spam DL with the next 2-3 picks though and hope weight of numbers means we get some value.
