Pretty sure he did not give up a sack after moving over to the left side. Sounds pretty elite to me, but PFF said it was only 700 snaps or something like that. So they said the guys in college with 0 snaps are a better value. I guess I am not smart enough to understand the geniuses at PFF. |

He goes up against Myles Garrett and TJ Watt, He stonewalled Frank Clark. I don't know how that isn't Elite passblocking. |

Should we dare to dream about having a running game even half as good as the Ravens have been? |

We need a bigger WR threat, we have enough of these little gadget guys, but I'd like to see them get a solid #3 recieving threat out of this draft. Someone who has more size than speed that doesn't mind getting the ball up high and taking a hit.

If we lose 3 and signed 1, we get 2 comp picks. The round of those comp picks is dictated by the quality of each individual player lost in terms of contract and playing time. Tanoh and Wilson might get us 2 6th rounders. |

this seems like the Chiefs took the Ravens for a steal here.

This was an amazing deal for the Chiefs but it wasnt horrible for the Ravens either.
We got a 24 year old Pro Bowl LT for pick 31. Traded our 3 and 4 for a TWO. Then swapped 5 for a 6 next year. Thats awesome! They traded a player they acquired in the 3rd round that was unhappy and out of place there, on the last year of his rookie deal and demanding to play LT and be paid like a LT. Traded him and a 2 for a 1, 3, 4 and a swap of a 6 for a 5 next year. And they got 3 years of his service for cheap. Thats not horrible. Now they did help their biggest obstacle in the AFC fix a gaping hole for the foreseeable future. Ouch |

I've been watching Perna for years, only the last few have been not only tolerable but quite fun.

The more I think about this, the more I think the contract is a non-issue.
He doesn't actually have the leverage that Tunsil or T Williams had. What is the worst case scenario here, that he plays for the Chiefs for one year, who then tag him and if they can't work out a contract, trade him? The Chiefs only "paid" a mid 2nd round pick for him, if he mauls for a year in KC and gets into another deep play off run, the Chiefs could end up trading him for a first plus. Best case: he mauls and the Chiefs give him a contract that works for everyone Worst case: the Chiefs get a solid player at a very important position for a year, and make a draft capital profit trading him away after that to use to get the long term answer at LT. |
