Paxton Lynch

Qb from Memphis, on ABC right now against Ole miss.

He's endorsed by Sacofbats so, take caution, but I'm intrigued

I'm glad they didn't draft him...and ever happier Denver did. By the time he see's the field...that defense will be done. The draft picks they gave up would have kept the defense valid.
Thomas and Sanders will be done/gone too.

Miller is going to break the bank...he's not going to play on the tag. He'll be the highest paid defensive player in the league. That's great news...

I think Elway would have drafted Myles Jack if Osweiler didn't leave...seems the type of high risk-reward/value he goes for...I'm glad they didn't.

Seeing how it all played out I'd rather be in the situation we're in now than have Brock.

Had we kept Brock, Ware and CJ would be gone, we wouldn't have Okung or Stephenson, and we wouldn't be negotiating long term deals with Sanders and Brandon Marshall.

Unless you have a Manning or Brady, having a young, cheap QB who's playing well on a rookie deal gives you the best chance to compete for Super Bowls. The Ravens and Seahawks both won their Super Bowls with QB's on their rookie deal, and the 49ers made it to the Super Bowl when Kaepernick was on his rookie deal.

These QB contracts can cripple a team if you're giving franchise QB money to a guy who isn't a franchise QB.

Ha...having Sanchez is preferable...only in your mind. You are about to see what $4 mil gets you in a starting QB. Elway signed him as a veteran back-up...and is now stuck with him.

Stephenson is not a good pickup...and Okung is always injured. It's why they were available....the same reason Clady was available. I wouldn't put much stock in either of them. IF both are healthy... Clady>Okung.

It wasn't only Russell Wilson. Almost all of their rosters best players and strong role players were on rookie deals.

Having Lynch is preferable. Sanchez is only going to be here for a year and he might not even play if Lynch does well. And Sanchez could be a very good stopgap if he can cut down on the turnovers, he does have talent.

Stephenson and Okung are a vast improvement over Ryan Harris and Michael Schofield. And we still have Ty Sambrailo, who Denver drafted in the second round last year.

There is no question Denver is better off with Assweiler leaving. He was never going to be the leader he needed to be there. He's mentally soft and came from a crap football college. Houston WAY overpaid and left Denver's cap in a much better position.

You dont know that...you are only hoping. Basing your teams future on a guy that has never taken a snap...with the edge rushers in the West. If he doesn't progress quickly...Donkos are screwed for a few years.

If the transition was so easy...you wouldn't see such a high percentage of failures at this level.

Like I said...he was a late 2nd/3rd project. All you have right now is hope and hype.

What does it matter which players are on what team? Isn't who wins and loses pre-determined at a higher level?

It is when Manning is in his final season...and billions are at stake. No one, in China, wants to watch Sanchez play....that's the difference.

All those magical bounces are now gone....without them last year, Donkos wouldn't have been in the play-offs.

I love reading Denver fan's rationale..."Well, our qb's sucked last year...so Sanchez can suck and we'll be fine". No...no you wont.

True but Denver's core players are basically all locked up. If Lynch works out, Denver will continue to be Super Bowl contenders for the next 5 years.

You're acting like Brock was some surefire HOF QB. He did some great things last year, but he only played 7 games in his career and paying him $18M per year is just as risky as drafting a 1st round QB.

Lynch fits Denver's offense perfectly, and other than getting Carson Wentz he was by far the best QB Denver could've gotten.

Denver will lose in the playoffs to Colts, Steelers, Ravens, Raiders for the next five years if they make it in

Any Bronco fan could tell you what Kubiak looks for in a QB. Lynch fits the mold perfectly from a physical skills standpoint.
