Absolutely.... UAL screwed the pooch on this one... Open the wallet and pay up.

I am very interested in hearing how much they offered him, why he was chosen to be removed and how they defend what they did. This should make a great case study on how to manage passengers in this situation.

Yeah like I said in the beginning, by the time United settles this out of court, the doc is going to be a wealthy man. As others have said, hopefully this changes some policies out there pertaining to getting bumped. The airlines have really gone downhill over the last couple of decades.

I got into an discussion with a TSA pre screener in KPHX one day over government / state issued ID cards..

I tried to use my Oklahoma State issues CCW licenses and they person argued for minutes that it wasnt a state issued licenses...

IT HAD THE SAME DAMN INFORMATION ON IT AS MY DL AND PASSPORT.

I felt like going all Frazod on them.

The last flight I took was from Seattle to O'Hare. Apparently the TSA goons in Seattle don't like Navy veterans. I was wearing my USS Concord ballcap and the guy went nuts on me - full patdown, ran his finger inside the length of my beltline, even sprayed some sort of shit on my CPAP machine like it was a ****ing bomb or something. I guess fat middle-aged veterans are serious security risk. Although to be fair, had I been armed at the time, it would have taken a great deal of restraint not to shoot the one who sucks the penis.

That was the rancid cherry on top of the giant pile of shit that was Seattle.
