Let's talk about the Bengals [and Hamburger Helper]

This one is huge as far as the #1 seed goes.

Let's talk about it.

The only other issue is stopping the run. But as much as I like Mixon (another former Sooner, so I'm a fan), he isn't consistently a top tier RB, so I expect unless he just has a breakout type of day KC will keep him under control for the most part. Though he probably will break off at least one big run (20+ yds) somewhere in the game.

Basically we're playing LAC again.
But Spags disguises it...shows blitz and goes coverage, shows coverage and goes blitz, random corners blitz, delayed safety blitz...

Is Burrow smart enough yet to pick that out and react?

If I would've went to the store instead of the GF for the weekend, I would have gotten some hamburger helper for the game tomorrow.

But with our defense healthy. Missing Chris jones and willie gay was huge.

One of the big turnarounds for spags is he seems to be way more judicious about using the blitz. Burrow can pick up blitzes. I think he’ll throw him off with coverages. And I almost wonder if teams have played burrow so safe with zone that spags will give him aggressive looks he’s not prepared for.

And if we get a lead spags is gonna turn up the juice and burrow will be playing with some desperation. Especially if our offense is humming. He will be sending the house after burrow if we get cushion.

You might need to start a thread about this. This post is going to get lost and someone will panic at like 12:11 am.

Spags is definitely one of the best at disguising his blitzes. And the fact is that Burrow has never seen a Spags defense before, so he probably should have some trouble deciphering them.

Not questioning any of that.

Just noting that Burrow statistically is difficult to blitz. So Spags needs to bring a great game plan if he's going to blitz. This guy ain't Derek Carr or Kirk Cousins. He's not just going to shit is pants and give the ball back to us whenever we want.

And Mixon is a good RB that can sometimes be a stud, so Spags needs to keep him contained so we don't end up dealing with a big fast back that suddenly gets a big dose of confidence. Keep him bottled up until we have a two TD lead and keep Burrow off-balance. Mahomes and co. should be able to cruise to a W if Spags does just that.

Why? What is the reason, as I am not aware, for this hubbub?
