If the coaching staff could teach our DBs to turn and look for the ball, it would really help. IMO, that's the biggest issue with our defense. DPI is going to be called when the DB doesn't look back and runs into the WR as he attempts to come back for an underthrown ball.

I'm not sure if it's the coaching or the players... It seems that a lot of Chiefs defenders never turn and look for the ball and think tackling means throwing your shoulder at someone instead of wrapping up. It's so consistent, that I have to think there's come coaching involved.

The Bills have looked beatable, just as the Chiefs have. The Bills have looked like an unstoppable force, just as the Chiefs have.

Should be a good game either way. Would be best if the Chiefs can find a way to win.

Reading Two Bills Drive has made it clear that Bills fans are out of touch w/ reality.

In the thread making fun of Mahomes fumbles, they say he's horrible with ball protection. One of the worst. Would anybody say that's accurate? I've always thought he was pretty solid in that dept. There have been many times that he was blown up from behind and I expected a fumble, but he held onto it. In fewer games, he has 16 fewer fumbles than Allen.

They also have a huge complex regarding media coverage of Allen and Mahomes. They think that Mahomes has been anointed the chosen one and is immune to criticism while Allen is relentlessly nitpicked. Imagine being this delusional.

I think last year's Chiefs was Mahomes' weakest team( D was not good, O was slipping). Still beat Bills in playoffs.

Late edit: they could all of just been tired after a 4 year chase

I honestly don't get it. Mahomes destroyed a better Tampa defense in their home turf. Why should we expect any different with Buffalo? If the offense starts the game focused and Andy is committed to the run game, Chiefs win this by double digits. There is still a sizeable gap between QBs. I've gone on record in saying that to me Herbert is the second best QB in the league and I stand by that. Allen is overrated.

lol that's insane. it's as idiotic as "mahomes is a 1 read QB"

the only media person that has anointed Mahomes as the chosen one is Nick Wright and he's from KC so it's forgivable.

McDuffie and Gay are the big difference makers from the group that's out, for me.

Are you counting Danna as the DE who's out? He was FP on Thurs and Fri and I would expect him to play.

Wharton adjusts their pass rush package, but if Danna is back I think that helps make up for some of that.

Re: S, I liked what we saw from Bush in the preseason and he's got some experience. I think he can do a credible job as the 3rd S, especially filling in the role that Cook had (which had more middle of the field responsibilities).

Like I said earlier, I actually like the matchups of Williams/Watson against Davis. They're big enough and fast enough to press him and run with him, which I don't think Fenton is.

It would be great to have McDuffie available just because he's so damn solid and talented. It also would be great to have Gay's speed and explosiveness available at the second level.

But even with the guys who are out, when I look at this D I like it more than the D the Bills saw in the playoff game (especially after Mathieu left that game with the concussion he sustained trying to tackle Allen).

Dan Sorensen gave up like 5 open TD’s to the Bills in the two games last year.

Addition by subtraction.

An Allen fan criticizing Mahomes for fumbles is like a Favre fan criticizing Peyton Manning for interceptions

It’s a big glass houses situation

That's a super weird critique. Especially for a fanbase that has Josh Allen at the helm. Allen has what, 8 more fumbles in slightly less game action?

Yes. That game at Arrowhead last year was particularly damaging/damning performance from Sorenson. They picked on him for a lot of big plays, including the back-breaking TD to Knox.

His less-involved role was a big factor in switching the outcome in the playoffs.

My point was, who made who? Diggs & Gabe Davis are good, but who is to say that Allen didn’t make them good?

I don’t think that’s an unfair question.

I would say all fanbases are similar. Chip on the shoulder.

The Bills have 3 All-Pro’s injured on defense.

Injuries should have no part in this game. There are injuries on both sides. If anything, the talent level of the Bills injuries is worse.

Sorenson & Neiman were obvious targets for all opposing defenses over the past four years. They have both been replaced with substantially better players. This Chiefs Defense is waaaaaaaaay improved, and is the key to tomorrow's game.
