And I agree they would have loved for the best corner to fall to our 2.1 and hardman to be there at our 2.2 but it seems they realized that was unrealistic.

At first, I thought it was because of the Tyreek Hill case, but now, I don't believe this to be the case. Think about what the Patriots defense did to the Chiefs in the 1st half by taking Hill away for the most part. If Hardman becomes a guy that defenses can't single-up, then their strategy of taking Hill away will fail.
Exactly.

If there had been a corner worth taking, then Veach would've taken one, but since another WR was targeted anyway (well before the tape was released) as a position of need, they traded up to make sure we got someone who can take the top off of defenses.

I'm sure Belichick and the Patsies were not far from Veach's mind when he did that, too.

His contract becomes quite untenable after this season...best to be prepared for the probable eventuality of moving on from Sammy Watkins after 2019. In this scenario, Hardman is at speed and ready to step up as the #2 next year, and on his rookie contact, ta boot...

Having Hill back is like having god mode activated as a cheat code.

That’s a group of skill position players (not even mentioning Pringle, Hyde and Robinson) that even a game manager could put up HUGE numbers with.

Mahomes has a great chance to break all of the passing and offensive records this year.

Has a chance to end up the best offense in history.

I can’t wait for the season to start.
Darwin Thompson will be the 4th RB on this squad. He is not going to produce much.
Hardman will be the 4th or 5th WR. His production will have to come from ST.

Care to give your opinion as to why this is wrong?
The stuff I posted came from Matt Derrick and others that I agree with.

This offense is designed to beat anyone given the physical ability alone, but especially NE.

They will try that press/hold man coverage with stunts up front again, and there’s just no way you can do that every play against KC without getting penalized or roasted a ton by their speed.

Thompson might be the 2nd most talented RB on the roster and is at absolute worst going to be the #3.

And Hardman as the #5 WR and only being productive on ST’s is laughable. He’s probably the best bet for our slot WR and there’s no way they traded up for him to be buried on the depth chart.

I don’t care where you got that take from, but it’s awful and very pessimistic in regards to our rookie weapons.

Rookie skill guys in Reid offenses don’t have much history in terms of procuation outside of maybe marlin and desean
There’s already a lot of mouths to feed ahead of them on the depth chart

It doesn’t really say much about their talent to say they may not provide early not is it really indicative that they won’t be good players

They just may not get many opportunities

JFC the spelling in this post lol.

Hunt? Tyreek?

I’m not saying they’re going to get a ton of opportunities but Thompson as the #3 and Hardman as the #3/slot sounds a lot more likely than both being buried in the depth chart.

The team cut James Williams because of Carlos Hyde production in mini camp. It is highly unlikely that a 6th round RB in his first year is going to move above either Williams or Hyde with his experience. Thompson will not get much even if he manages to secure the 3rd RB spot.
I said 4th or 5th WR spot not just 5th. Andy Reid expects his WRs to know all the routes for each position before they see much playing time, which has been discussed over and over by several people that know Reid better than you or I.
How much production did the 4th WR get last year? Not very damn much as the 4th WR is still behind Kelce and Williams for touches in the offense. Later in the season Hardman would hopefully have progressed to get more reps and touches.
Now, next year could and hopefully will be completely different for these players.

Lol Where did you get this from? That sounds like absolute bullshit to me

And even if Thompson is the #3, he’s a much better receiver than Hyde and will most certainly be more involved in the passing game.

And I know what you said about Hardman, I still think you’re wrong. Who’s a better fit in the slot than him?

What are you even talking about?......

Do you not remember Tyreek and Kareem being MASSIVE contributors in their respective rookie seasons?
