I pick NBA teams based on players and style of play that I enjoy. Lived in Houston for a long time and loved the Rockets. But now they play Moreyball which I find unwatchable.
I follow the Blazers, Raptors and Clippers, which works out well because Kawhi will either be in Toronto or Clippers. Good to see long suffering Raptor fans get a championship. |

OP should watch the Pelicans. They just picked up a ton of players and picks from the Lakers. They'll be awash with young talent for years

NBA was a different beast then. It was right as Jordan entered the league, Magic/Bird had just played their first NBA Finals against each other. NBA was in flux actually. Losing franchise + out of town ownership = equals problems.

Thanks to all the suggestion. I've decided to go with the Grizzlies. They're the closest team to me and they're hopefully about to draft a superstar in Ja Morant. Plus Beale street in Memphis is fun so that's a good weekend getaway.
So until KC can get a team, go Grizzlies |

OHHHHH KAAAYYYY CEEEEE!!!!
Thunder Up my man. Here is my case: 1) Small market team, just like our Chiefs 2) Home grown superstar in Westbrook that loves the city and is very loyal. (he is declining, but we will get to that) 3) The ownership is VERY committed to winning. They have the highest payroll and they are not scared of the luxury tax AT ALL. 4) Tradition of winning. Been to the Playoff NINE years in a row, with 6 of those seasons being the 4th seed or higher... WOW. |
