I love Five Guys, personally, but to each his own. I would say it is far and away my favorite fast food restaurant if it wasn't for the steep price. The simplicity of their menu works well for them, in addition to using fresh potatoes for their fries. I believe they get all of their potatoes from Iowa. Not to mention whatever seasoning they use for them.

CP are rough critics of Five Guys for some reason. I think it's a good burger. No, not super cheap - but $7 for them isn't so bad - $2 above a QPC from McDonald's. Not sure why all the complaining.

I stand corrected!

I can speak for the Lawrence Five Guys and I agree heavily. I have some very good buddies that live in an apartment complex a block down the road, so it's always tempting to stop in there. My hometown in Illinois just got a Five Guys (along with a Firehouse and Chipotle). I have never had either of them, nor been able to test out the Five Guys location here. |

Also on Five Guys, part of their M.O. is the signature grease on their brown paper bags. I am sure much of it comes from the extra scoop of fries that they give you in the bag (in addition to whatever fries you ordered), but that burger.. hoo boy!
