Hey! It's free agency! Time for optimism! I get it. I totally do.

We're just giving you objective analysis. $13.5M is too much for a guy that will get out performed by guys already on your roster.

You "fixed" a problem that didn't exist. You effectively threw cap money away on a RB (with two bad knees) that you didn't need.

I've been anti-Melvin Gordon since his 2nd season in the league. I had seen enough then.

I was anti-Melvin Gordon before it was cool to be anti-Melvin Gordon. Ha.

Pretty hard to agree with anything Elway has done since Manning hung up his cleats. It’s been one failure, free agency and draft, after another, after another.

Funny. Years ago I asked Knowmo to find a single post of his in which he disagreed with a Broncos player move as it happened. The best he could come up with was a draft day trade down in which he believed Horse Face should have gotten a better return than he did.

I'd take Damien The Omen Williams over Gordon. With how he played in the playoffs and the Super Bowl, he's a great back.

Honest question. Who are the "guys" on our roster who are better than him? I'll give you Lindsay, sort of. They're so different, I almost don't think of them as playing the same position. And I'm pretty good with Lindsay getting 12-15 touches a game.

The best thing they can do for Drew Lock is to let him grow. Of the games he started, the Chiefs snow game is exactly what he doesn't need. (Also, get him a WR and Tackle in the draft, but I digress.) Games like that are likely to bring out his bad habits (the two picks he had - the one called back - were brutal).

I get it, though. Although, I would argue that most here aren't any more objective about such things than Broncos fans are. That's fine. It's like you said, we're all fans. It gives me a good chuckle, though.

I get it. You guys have extra money right now bc Lock is on a rookie contract. But that much for a RB? Really dude?

He has one 1,000 yard season. One. And his replacement was significantly better than him.

Why would any team spend significant money on a RB when they are so easy to find? Damien Williams, Austin Ekeler. Even Phillip Linday. None of those guys were drafted and they’re good.

I don't think the contract is terrible, actually. Like you said, we have the space.

And while you can hit on RBs, and I would be truly miffed if we used a high draft pick on one (ahem, Knowshon Moreno), I don't think you can build a team on the assumption that you're always going to find these diamonds - especially with a young QB.
