Nope our High School sucked ass at football and it wasn't worth the two-a-days in the August heat IMO.

I graduated in May 84. I played for Colgan in 82 and 83. Played for Southeast in 80. I lost the 81 season due to the transfer.

I don't think he coached in Girard. He did coach at Southeast.

Yes, it is the CNC. Girard was never great. They had some decent teams, but Colgan always kicked their ass. Girard was 4A at the time. Colgan was barely 2A. Southeast was a 3A program. I don't ever remember Southeast winning State but they made the playoffs. Back when my father played at Southeast in the mid 60's Southeast was good(that was also the time when Francione went to school at Southeast). Then Southeast sucked for a while and Francione returned home to coach and turned the program around. Then PSU offered him the job. Just not sure if he coached at Girard before that. Maybe Pitt will know.

Colgan beat a lot of people who were "bigger" than they were. Of course, they recruited while non catholic schools were not allowed to recruit.

That is a fairytale. Everyone in that school is catholic. We just happen to be the only Catholic school in the area so we pull students from many districts.

Actually, my mom was a neighbor of his growing up and was good friends with his sister. I'm not sure if he coached in Girard or not, as I played long after that time. I played under Kotzman, Crespino, Bauer.
