Chiefs 2007 Schedule Released

Chiefs open, close season with road games
By ADAM TEICHER
The Kansas City Star
The Chiefs will begin and finish the season with a pair of road games, according to the schedule released by the NFL today.

The Chiefs will open with games at Houston on Sept. 9 and at defending NFC champion Chicago on Sept. 16.

The home opener is Sept. 23 against Minnesota.

The Chiefs will play six of eight games at Arrowhead Stadium during one mid-season stretch. They are scheduled for no national television appearances other than their season finale on Dec. 30 against the Jets in New York.

The game is tentatively scheduled to begin at 7:15 p.m. and be televised by NBC. The network has the option of showing a different game in that window, meaning the Chiefs-Jets game would switch to an afternoon time slot.

Jay Cutler, Javon Walker, Daniel Graham, Travis Henry are all prime time attractions to the league and the public.

3 MNF appearances is a lot but, as you know, the Denver Broncos are just plain sexy to the powers that be in TV land.

Why 3 of first 4 on road....and 3 of last 4 on road?

You shouldnt get nailed on both ends of the schedule....

I would think that Arrowhead looks pretty damn good on TV and that LJ's star power blows those 3 away. But WTF I'm probably just a homer.

IMHO:
Arrowhead is as fine an NFL venue as there is.
LJ isn't exactly a media darling.

Win 5 of 6 of the "Favored" games
Win 2 of 5 of the "Underdog" games
Win 3 of 5 of the "Push" games

10 wins = (likely) playoff team

Alternatively, if we win only 1 of the "Underdog" games, we'll have to take 4 of 5 of the "Push" games, which is definitely possible when they are at Arrowhead.
