Are you happy with the Chiefs first three picks?

There just wasn't great value at OT.

Carl said they were considering trading up to get McBride.

Wright wasn't on their radar at all.

I'll be honest, I was super-pissed when we passed on Meacham and took Bowe.

But after sleeping on it, I'm pretty good with it. Let's see what the kid can do. The lasik procedure should help with the drops, and hopefully the coaching staff can clean up his route running.

Really like the McBride pick. Will probably see more time at DE than DT. Replacement for Jared Allen next year?

Tank Tyler in the THIRD! Rock on, Carl. This guy was first round talent and dropped becuase of some off the field issues. Gotta believe that CP and Herm both feel those days are behind him, considering Herm preaches having "character" guys. Plus, he passed Krumrie's bitch-slap test with flying colors. Great value in the 3rd.

I'd say a solid B at this point.

Get that 4th from Miami, Carl.

IMO this has been a fantastic draft. Bowe was a great 1st round pick and I think he will be highly successful in this offense if we focus on getting the ball in his hands - he reminds me of an Anquan Boldin or Reggie Wayne.

McBride was a solid pick in the 2nd, but it really depends on who you listen to. There is a wide variation in how experts view him; some guys had him as a Day 2 pick, and other had him as high as the 4th or 5th DT overall. I think he will be a great in the UT role in our scheme, similar to a Montae Reagor type. He can also play end, and that versitility will come in handy. A guy that still has a ton of upside.

Of course, like just about everyone else on here, I loved the Tank pick. I wasn't sold on him for the 1st round, and I was a bit iffy in the 2nd round, but his value in the 3rd is fantastic. He has the size and ability to develop into a premier DT in this league. If he can continue to work hard, we could end up with a total steal.

It appears we are sticking with our board rather than drafting on need, which is exactly what we should be doing. The talking heads may try to rip us because we have ignored the o-line so far, but we are in a rebuilding mode and we need talent everywhere, not just in one unit.

Great draft so far, let's hope it continues today!
