What will our record be and will LJ holdout?

I get a strange feeling he will not be around when summer camp kicks off. I hope the chiefs find a team who will pay him and give us some picks for next years draft. We are rebuilding and the whole team looks to be gutted for next year. Defense seems pretty young (only thing I look for improvement in next year). Offense seems to be in shambles with a unproven QB, and no O-line. I don't see us winning many games in the next year. So why keep LJ. We will get draft picks and probably end up picking in the 10th spot or higher. Lets go 4-12 and pick up a 1st and 4th for LJ.

Brennan for the next QB of chiefs and two good O-linemen in 2008. Realistically how many wins will we have next year.

Everyone has their opinions....

Most people believe that Herms approach to the game, lack of in-game management, timeouts and just overall fear of taking a chance during the games are what has held Herm back.

Herm's only downfall is "Fear"... He is a chicken sh*t coach on the sidelines....

He had Curtis Martin and many other players at the caliber of LJ, maybe not Gonzo, but Plenty of LJ's......

LJ needs to block for once...

Is there anything you have seen that leads you to believe Brody will ever be as good as Pennington? I've always believed Pennington to be a slightly above average QB when healthy. I have seen almost nothing out of BC but in looking at the chiefs history of drafting QB's "average" would make him the best QB the chiefs have EVER drafted.

FWIW Nothing would make me happier than for Brody to be the next Brady.

For one thing, Brodie has an ARM. Pennington might have the weakest arm in the NFL among starting quarterbacks.

My season predictions:

Chargers 12-4 -- win division, first round bye
Broncos 10-6 -- playoffs, win tie-breaker with the better divisional record
Chiefs 10-6 -- playoffs, lose tie-breaker
Raiders 5-11 -- top 10 pick in 2008

I think we'll be between 8-8 and 11-5. We're going to have a good defense and a running game to eat clock.

Sorry guys, I want us to do well, but I just don't see it this year. It's a transition year. We have serious ?s on both the D-Line and Secondary, and our best player is coming off the heaviest workload in league history. If LJ's production drops by 20%, which is altogether likely, we will struggle to win 6 games, especially with Herm's fear of airing it out.

Carl Peterson would never allow that to happen.

He put this team together so it'd be bad enough to finish dead middle, keeping attendance full so that he can maximize his bonus.

At the end of the season, none of our dead weight will be given their outright release, or upgraded for better personnel.
