The following trades have effected the draft order:

Corey Williams to Cleveland for a R2 pick.

Shaun Rogers to Cleveland for a R3 pick.

Kris Jenkins to the Jets for a R3 pick.

Marcus Stroud to the Bills for a R3 pick.

Redskins to Broncos. The Washington Redskins traded their fourth-round selection in 2008, and their third-round selection in 2007 (used to select Ryan Harris) to the Denver Broncos as part of a three-team trade in which Washington received T.J. Duckett and Atlanta received Ashley Lelie. (This was the result of a formula which could have had Denver and Washington swapping 2007 first-round selections.)

Saints to Jets. The Saints traded their fourth-round selection in 2008 to the Jets, for Jonathan Vilma.

Jets to Panthers. The New York Jets traded their third-round and fifth-round selections to the Carolina Panthers in a deal that sent Kris Jenkins to New York.

Dolphins to Chiefs. Miami (conditionally) traded its fifth-round selection in 2008 to the Kansas City Chiefs in exchange for Trent Green. The selection would have become a fourth-round selection if Green had met certain performance criteria.

Bears to Bills. Chicago (conditionally) traded their fifth-round selection in 2008 to Buffalo in exchange for Darwin Walker. The round of the selection may change, depending on Walker's playing time.

Panthers to Bears. The Carolina Panthers traded their fifth-round selection in 2008 to Chicago in exchange for Chris Harris.

Raiders to Broncos. Oakland (conditionally) traded their fifth-round selection in 2008 to Denver in exchange for Gerard Warren.

Bills to Jaguars The Buffalo Bills traded a 3rd and 5th round selection to the Jacksonville Jaguars in return for DT Marcus Stroud.

Seahawks to Browns. The Seattle Seahawks traded their sixth-round selection in 2008 to Cleveland in exchange for Charlie Frye.[24]

Packers to Giants. The Green Bay Packers traded their sixth-round selection in 2008 to the New York Giants in exchange for running back Ryan Grant.

Broncos to Rams. Denver traded their sixth-round selection in 2008 to the St. Louis Rams for defensive tackle Jimmy Kennedy.[26] The trade occurred after the Broncos had tried to trade the same pick to Miami for defensive tackle Dan Wilkinson; that trade was voided.

Browns to Eagles. Cleveland traded their sixth-round selection in 2008 to Philadelphia for center Hank Fraley. The trade was conditional on games started by Fraley, and could have fallen to a seventh-round pick, but Fraley started all 16 games.

Cowboys/Dolphins swap. The teams swapped their sixth-round selections in a trade involving Jason Ferguson.

Jaguars to Vikings. Jacksonville traded their sixth-round selection for Troy Williamson.

Texans to Broncos. Houston traded their sixth-round pick for Chris Myers.

Steelers to Falcons. The Pittsburgh Steelers traded their seventh-round selection in 2008 to Atlanta for kick/punt returner Allen Rossum.

Seahawks to Eagles. Seattle traded their seventh-round selection in 2008 to Philadelphia for fullback Josh Parry.

Eagles to Bills. Philadelphia traded their seventh-round selection in 2008, and defensive tackle Darwin Walker, to Buffalo for linebacker Takeo Spikes and quarterback Kelly Holcomb.

Rams to Vikings. St. Louis traded their seventh-round selection in 2008 to Minnesota for offensive tackle Adam Goldberg.

Giants to Chiefs. The New York Giants traded their seventh-round selection in 2008 to Kansas City for kicker Lawrence Tynes.

Vikings to Jets. Minnesota traded their seventh-round pick in 2008 to the Jets in exchange for Brooks Bollinger.

Bengals to Rams. Cincinnati traded their seventh-round pick in 2008 to St. Louis in exchange for Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Executive decision time.

In the interest of getting the pick in, and making sure it's a quality selection, I'm giving the Bills R1 pick to Direckshun.

I'm going to split up the remaining two picks.

The Bills R2 pick (#41) will go to sfeihc, who doesn't have a pick in R2.

The Bills R3 pick (#71, I'm assuming, waiting for confirmation on Stroud trade) will be taken by yours truly.

I'm working on a contingency plan if Hootie doesn't show. I'll likely give Cory the Broncos.

I will post my selection for the Bills in a little over an hour. Must report to class.

Well the Bills are in a hard place. They see the sharp decline in quality of a lot of positions they have been aching for. They need a good possession receiver, but it's too early to pick Malcolm Kelly, when they believe that he's more of a mid-to-late 1st than an early-mid 1st. Plus this is a deep draft for possession receivers so they think they can grab a great one in the 3rd of 4th.

At the same time, they need desperate help to rush the passer, especially with the addition of Stroud and Spencer Johnson. They weren't very strong at DE, but the dropoff after Gholston and Long is significant -- the next on their board is Philip Merling, and they believe it'd be a slight reach for him at #11 anyway.

But the Bills have a few players left on their board that they genuinely cannot believe are still out there. They aren't very popular picks; you won't find them in many mocks because they are 100% value.

The two that they can immediately discard as "ain't happenin'" are RBs Jon Stewart and Rashard Mendenhall. They spent their 1st on Lynch last year, and an additional pick last year at RB, and they may draft another RB this year, but it will almost certainly be in the later rounds.

Ryan Clady is the highest person on their board right now. He's got incredible upside, and they believed he's a Top 10er that's dropped. But Jason Peters was All Pro last year at LT, and RT isn't worth the #11 overall pick. So they make the Broncos happy and move on from him.

That leaves Mike Jenkins, another player they figured to be a Top 10er. While the Bills aren't exactly hurting at CB with Youboty and McGee, neither one of them are the productive shut down corners that Nate Clemens was. They've also cut three CBs to start the offseason, and aren't thrilled with their remaining depth.

They were planning on going CB much later in this Draft, but they're going with Mike Jenkins now, because they believe he's got the speed, size, and toughness to make their young secondary even better.

DE and possession WRs will have to wait for future rounds.

With the 11th pick in the 2008 NFL Draft, the Buffalo Bills select CB Mike Jenkins from the University of South Florida.

They see the sharp decline in quality of a lot of positions they have been aching for. They need a good possession receiver, but it's too early to pick Malcolm Kelly, when they believe that he's more of a mid-to-late 1st than an early-mid 1st. Plus this is a deep draft for possession receivers so they think they can grab a great one in the 3rd of 4th. At the same time, they need desperate help to rush the passer, especially with the addition of Stroud and Spencer Johnson. They weren't very strong at DE, but the dropoff after Gholston and Long is significant -- the next on their board is Philip Merling, and they believe it'd be a slight reach for him at #11 anyway. But the Bills have a few players left on their board that they genuinely cannot believe are still out there. They aren't very popular picks; you won't find them in many mocks because they are 100% value. The two that they can immediately discard as "ain't happenin'" are RBs Jon Stewart and Rashard Mendenhall. They spent their 1st on Lynch last year, and an additional pick last year at RB, and they may draft another RB this year, but it will almost certainly be in the later rounds. Ryan Clady is the highest person on their board right now. He's got incredible upside, and they believed he's a Top 10er that's dropped. But Jason Peters was All Pro last year at LT, and RT isn't worth the #11 overall pick. So they make the Broncos happy and move on from him. That leaves Mike Jenkins, another player they figured to be a Top 10er. While the Bills aren't exactly hurting at CB with Youboty and McGee, neither one of them are the productive shut down corners that Nate Clemens was. They've also cut three CBs to start the offseason, and aren't thrilled with their remaining depth. They were planning on going CB much later in this Draft, but they're going with Mike Jenkins now, because they believe he's got the speed, size, and toughness to make their young secondary even better. DE and possession WRs will have to wait for future rounds. With the 11th pick in the 2008 NFL Draft, the Buffalo Bills select CB Mike Jenkins from the University of South Florida.
