That's also why I think we won't draft him.

Haley and Pioli want a three-down NT.

you don't take a guy without a position in the 1st round.

Mays = 2nd round
We need LB help too. Can't beat someone who could play both. I highly doubt Mays even sniffs the 2nd rd.

Fail.

A great safety that can cover obscene distance is like a NT that demands two and sometimes three blockers: it frees up the rest of your defense.

Get Morgan and Mays out there and our corners don't have to play so far off the LOS.

They do? They're concerned about max. impact with high-round selections? Really?

he probably wont' sniff round 2 but that doesn't mean he shouldn't.

somebody will reach because he is gonna look great in t-shirt and shorts at the combine.

hey, maybe he turns into Brian Urlacher and becomes a great LB but for everyone position switch guy that works out, 50 don't.

can the Chiefs afford the high risk pick like that?

I don't know man, I just began doing some better homework on these players, and it seems like Mays is the opposite of what we need. Im starting to flip flop on my earlier thoughts. We need players with ball skills and know how to tackle. Some people are thinking Mays has bust written all over him.

Shit, after watching more of Clausen, im really wishing we didn't sign Cassel to such a reeruned contract. He's my #1 right now. Im really digging on Golden Tate too.

Do they? I think that's a mistake. Got to have that huge guy in the middle.

Anybody here watch Pat games? What's Wilfork do on 3rd down? I've got to imagine he comes off the field.

My guess is Pioli will follow suit.

I personally don't think its a high risk, and I don't think he will have any problem being a Safety in the NFL either. I think taking a 5'9 safety who will probably be shorter come combine is more of a risk. As I have said before though, I would be happy with either and think both are worth whatever risks they present.

welcome to the dark side, young padawan.

i don't hate Cassel and the trade for him was fine ... signing him to a long term contract was NOT fine.

You and me both. Cassel is a bum. I thought he was when we picked him up and was hoping I was wrong. Chock it up to Piolis first major decision=FAIL! Hopefully he cuts his losses and moves on before we have a Jamarcus Russell scenario.
