Or Josh Cribbs

I could literally do this all day.

So could I. Dorsey being projected as a 1 ga/3-technique guy were so far off it's ****ing stupid. He has a terrible time transitioning from his first to second pass rush move and isn't a natural pass rusher. Something great 3-technique guys will show even as rookies. so like i said, those projects were off/stupid.

What Dorsey did at LSU while being injured and as you said, mostly 2 gaping, is simply amazing and hard to think that anyone would think that his best NFL position would be a 3-tec or 1 gap nose. I still think a 1 gap nose is where he could be a legitimate NFL DMVP, but I doubt he is ever in the position to do so.

A shame.
Is 1 and 2 gaping anything like ass gaping?

Like Warren Sapp, who had fewer tackles and the same # of sacks as a rookie as Dorsey did, despite being used as a penetrator?

Palmer, before his knee got blown up by the Steelers was on his way to becoming a top 5 QB in the NFL, making big time plays, big time throws, and clutch plays.

He had all the tools.

Good arm strength, great pocket presense, accuracy and leadership.

How would people know that he was dominant at something he never did? Yeeeaaah that's a bit of a problem to explain now isn't it?

He played nose last year in a 40 front, and then got to play some 3-tech at times too. He isn't a natural pass rusher. Sapp was. I don't care about what the stats say, it's like saying because some corner has the same number of picks that he's equal in coverage to another guy. It's meaningless. Again, just a case where Hamas doesn't know what he's talking about yet won't shut up about it.

If you think Dorsey was never used to shoot gaps in LSU, you are a fool that never watched the games. Sorry bud. Just because he only did it in limited opportunities doesnt mean he NEVER did it as you are saying.

You dont get the type of production he did behind the line of scrimmage by only 2 gapping.

No, you get 12.5 TFL, 69 tackles, and 7.5 sacks as being a space eating DT; That's obvious.

Here's the funny part

I say That the Phillips scheme is a 1 gap scheme, TheTardian flips out, saying that he runs more than just one base set (no shit).

He says that Dorsey played in a 2 gap scheme, and that's all he ever did.

Consistent and logical.

Yes you did. I saw every game the guy played and he ate up two bodies almost every play. He was not a gap shooter. You don't have a ****ing clue either.

I said Dorsey was a 2 gap guy in college, i.e. that's the majority of what he played in. Phillips runs a 1 gap and gap and a half scheme where EVEN IN THE BASE DEFENSE one, two, or even three of the defensive line will be asked to occupy 2 gaps. Some 40 front coordinators do the same thing, where it's not a true 1 gap nor 2 gap scheme. The difference is I know this shit, and you don't but I'm sure you'll have some kind of snappy comeback that's supposed to make up for that fact.

Phillips' base defense is a one gap scheme. The other alterations are wrinkles, but it doesn't obviate what his base scheme is.

I'm just laughing at your wanton hypocrisy, because Dorsey playing in a two gap is almost all he does (and a little becomes very little), and then he's not a 1 gap guy, he's a 2 gap guy, and then he becomes a 1.5 gap guy.

You'd fit well in the DC forum, as you alter your ethics and argument to suit the situation.

Im not here to get into a pissing match, but if you claim to have watched all of LSUs games (which is BS, Im sure. Simply used to try and buy credibility in this conversation when all it does is show that you will say anything to try to win a debate even if the bullets you are firing are blanks) and have come to these conclusions, you dont know shit.

One second you are quoting the player as saying he was mostly a 2 gapper but was let loose on occasion, now you are saying that he NEVER shot gaps.

Which one is it?

I call a spade a spade, I have backed your side of discussions that you were right in, but in this one you arent on that side.

Sorry.

End of story. But Im sure you will make it into the neverending story.
