Oh yeah. We're back. We're gonna expose every fraud on this team, etc. RIP Bernard Pollard.

Note: please consult Eric Fisher thread for his crap, and the Alex Smith thread for his.

Here's Dontari Poe flashing some mean pass rush agility.

Tamba Hali gets off against Joe Staley.

Now, a very lovely smorgasbord of Justin Houston ****ing eating the furniture. No man can stand against him.

And finally, THE play of preseason for me so far, Mike DeVito destroying his man and then ****ing wrenching the RB down from behind with one hand.

Let's examine everyone's favorite "bust" Tyson Jackson #94 holding the massive stacked POA

9ers could not find the edge when Jackson stuffed the double team attempt

Is that Tyson Jackson getting 5 yards upfield during a bullrush at the snap? Survey sez, yes.

ya. so busted.

Ed Werder said Eric Fisher has a shoulder and hand injury but are considered minor.

He said their are people within the Chiefs organization who want him to fight through this injury and show more mental toughness.

So stoked about this D's potential, if Poe keeps looking like this his impact will ripple across the entire defense.

Gadzooks, have fun battling the fade for top cellar dweller status, you guys are old and largely devoid of outstanding talent... when Royal is your two, well, .

In all honesty, If they want to **** him up to prove a point then it's an even more wasteful draft selection.

In that first one I'm more impressed with Derrick Johnson. He sealed off the hole by stuffing the RT. Jackson's play didn't really matter too much as its not like the RB had anywhere to cut back. No I'm not saying he sucks, and in fact I was one of the people pretty impressed when Dorsey and Jackson were both doing a good job of stuffing the run that one year. Of course Houston is a stud and Berry would have been there to blow it up as well, but I think Derrick Johnson was the key there. Certainly not a bad play by Jackson though.

Nice job of holding the double team (although I'm skeptical it would have mattered if the back had gone to the edge). Really it didn't matter as Houston and Flowers read and blew that play right the **** up. All I can do is laugh at the 49ers not having that TE or T chip Houston and instead try to rely on the FB to block him. This play is why I can understand people getting optimistic, or at least just wanting to watch this defense. They send that guy after Derrick Johnson instead of Houston, and him and Flowers stuff that. I don't even know where Berry is but, between him, DJ, and Houston, we've got 3 guys that can blow up any play even if they're manned up on T.

I don't know, he got zero pressure on the QB (and the tackle getting pushed back was part of the play design) and was slow getting off the block to address the RB. Houston once again impressive, and Flowers would have prevented a big gainer, but Jackson didn't really have any impact on that play and likely would not have as the RB would have already gotten his yards before Jackson could catch up. Not impressed.

Fact is, for what he's still getting paid its not impressive.

Tyson Jackson is not ****ing relevant in any of those plays when the freak of nature Justin Houston is single handed blowing up his man and ruining the play by himself.

Tyson Jackson still ****ing sucks, and is being bailed out by playing next to a freak talent to his left in Houston and a top 5 MLBer behind him in DJ

Mike DeVito is what Tyson Jackson SHOULD be, but he isnt

This is utter bullshit.

Tyson Jackson plays the run as well as any 3-4 DE in the NFL. And these gifs prove it.

He was shitty against the run (and in general) last year.

Occasionally he flashes, let's see a little more consistency.

Oh **** me, he was shitty in a 2-14 year? The whole team went down the toilet. Cry me a river.

He's looked like his usual sturdy two-down self this preseason.

You have a point.

Let's not retire TJ's jersey just yet, though.

Welcome back.

Ever hear of Seyi Ajirotutu? Probably not...He had a "breakout" game during week 9 on November 7, 2010 when he caught 4 catches for 111 yards and two touchdowns in the Chargers win over the Houston Texans. He was waived shortly after, picked up by the Panthers and then promptly cut. In that season Rivers threw to 17 different receivers for 4,710 yds.

The point is, it doesn't matter who Rivers throws to, as long as anyone can block for him, the WRs will be successful. The same can't be said for Alex Smith. Hence, the trade for whathisnose.

BTW - Other than Freeny and Gates, the team's not old.
