I am actually friends of Connie's Mexico Cafe on FB, but I still prefer El Mexico on South Seneca and would die for one of their all meat burritos right now. But the rest of my family prefers Connies, and a few of the others, as last time we were there, El Mexico need to remodel and put some new furniture in the place.

Head to the corner of Central and Ridge. Ask for Betty. She licks a great butthole. Cheap too.

El Mexico is good, but I prefer the spicier food at Connie's. Connie's got a much needed remodel after somebody drove their car into the place. Next time you're in town maybe you need to make El Mexico a drive-in and help kick start their remodel.

Yeah, that location of Connies is prone to that. I actually prefer not to go to that part of town if possible. I was really shocked at the condition of El Mexico's booths last time we were in there and I haven't been able to get anyone to go back in with me. My wife preferred the one that was at Douglas and West St. then moved out on Maple and Tyler or Ridge. Can't remember the name of it, but she loves Mexican food.

The other thing about Wichita, is the taco joints. They are thicker than Italian Beef sandwich places up here. Taco Grande is the shit! Taco Js, Taco Rio etc. I thought I might die the last time we stopped into a Taco Tico, and that is a shame.

The folks who owned Angelo's (which I loved as well!) are related to the folks at DeFazios. I believe they're cousins and the recipes used by both were similar. So if you liked Angelo's, you'll like DeFazios.

Taco Js is the shit. I had to have a crew work 28 straight 12 hour days a few years ago to finish a project. Every Saturday I would call Taco Js and order 100 tacos. I think that is the only thing that kept my car from being keyed in the parking lot.

That is good to know, and I actually suspected that, since it is how a lot of business ownerships work around Wichita. Kind of like Stevens in the car lot business, Farha in the who knows how many businesses, then there was the construction guy and I forget his name, etc.

I hear Tom Devlin, a previous work associate, is buying up and doing a lot of stuff down there now.

That is funny, and they all lived through it? They have one of the funniest drive thrus ever. We used to eat there a lot, hanging out at Massey's racing Transmissions across the street. RIP Rucker Massey.

Taco Grande actually had one of their originals copied by Taco Tico, they called it the "funny taco" as it had both types of shells, corn and flour, with cheese in between them. I loved them!

They all lived and I gave them all a four day weekend when the project was completed. They were all hourly employees so they made damn good money for those 4 weeks.
