Well, even if this were feasible, I don't think anyone would pay $95 to ban me. Hell, it would cost them $100 next month.

Every time I read your name I'm reminded of a Chevy Luv truck... I could probably trade one in thats in pretty decent shape and get you banned for a half of a year.

If you feel so inclined. Probably wouldn't make much difference to me or the site.

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Think I'm gonna start a kickstarter or gofundme regarding this idea.

I can be bought off for a nominal fee. Let's start at 250 a month per member.

The only other major board I post to has a system where they raise quite a bit of money with very aggressive moderation.... but you can buy your way out of being banned. If you are a really tremendous jerk you can be perma-banned and IP banned with no buyout, but that really takes some work to accomplish.

I don't believe the culture of this board would accept aggressive moderation though, so thats out.

edit: perhaps the mods could make use of the Hootie option more often, even though Hootie himself kinda blew it. If someone is such an ass that they somehow get banned from CP, then after a cooling off period maybe let them buy their way back for one last chance.

edit2: I voted no, but as for my opinion on the OP: if I got troll-banned by someone for 30 days without breaking a rule or doing anything wrong, the option to return the favor won't help, I'd probably be so pissed about it that I might just leave the board forever.

As long as you come back after your thirty day ban first, and make a leaving forever thread.
