Roger only made this into a big deal of this is because the Gods smiled upon him when the call ended up being accurate. Meh, it's cyclic, at some point the WWFL will realize that they're no more fooling WWFL fans than the WWE is fooling WWE fans as it relates to officials playing their role.

It's all good, we'll survive this and maybe, just maybe, the NFL knows that with all the focus and comments (good and bad) that the officials are under the microscope.

What we can do is keep up the screenshots of blown calls/no-calls so they know we know their part-timers suck. It's really all fans can do to try to get the NFL to fix the problem that every team has with officiating.

It's not just us...

Is the NFL going to start emphasizing offensive offside now. Because it’s such a rare penalty I can’t see why the league wants to call it now. Just a complete shitshow of officiating.

I can see it’s an advantage when doing or defending the tush push but a WR with no one on him at the line of scrimmage doesn’t get a competitive advantage by being 1/2 a foot offsides.

It's time to finally change how NFL referees work.

1. Move them to full time. Pay them more and hold them accountable. At the end of the season, every ref gets a grade from each player anonymously. Bottom 10% get fined or fired. Top 10% get bonus.
2. In off season they get training, review films, get fined for repetitive failures.
3. Each week they must hold a one-hour press conference. 4-6 refs for 10-15 minutes each. Discuss their success, failures and how they will fix mistakes.
4. The most important is to standardize what is a penalty and what is not, what is a catch and what is not a catch, what os a fumble and what is not, and call EVERY GAME the same way.
5. Lastly, each team has one penalty challenge per half. 3 or 5 team of refs in booth have 2 minutes to overturn a penalty.
