He probably should've gotten at least 4mm before.

He now should've gotten 8mm.

That's a guy signing with the Chiefs before he even fully tests his market.

I don't understand why you'd even debate that. Unless you think there are middle LBers like Tremaine Edmunds at 18mm/yr who are multiples better?

This isn't just a Gay replacement. This guy makes losing Bolton next year more palatable. It's a huge signing for flexibility in a number of ways.

Here’s my top favorite.

1. Frank Clark

2. Tyrann Mathieu

3. Joe Thuney

4. Jerrick McKinnon

5. Drue Tranquill
Frank Clark was massively overpaid, and he was acquired via trade instead of free agency. I would go with Jet McKinnon, Drue Tranquill, Mitch Schwartz, Joe Thuney, Mike Pennel, and Damien Williams as my favorites.

You don’t think he tested the market at all hwre or had an idea what was out there for him?

That's a nice signing. Hate to see Willie go but we could only keep one.

I don’t think there’s any certainty to the statement that they’re about to sign Bolton.

And I’m 100pct sure he had some idea what was out there for him. But unlike Jones where there are like 3 teams who are shopping in his 30mm+ aisle, there are probably a dozen who are doing so for a guy like Tranquil where the dollar figures are less and percentages more. Much more beneficial for a guy like that to go test free agency, wait it out, and leverage patience.

Clark was a trade though.

Juju was one of the savvier moves. Super cheap for what he did.

Mathieu or Thuney were probably the best signings. All Pros.

He certainly could have gotten more elsewhere, but would rather stay and win. Definitely works for me. Glad he's back.
