Guess you'll need to relay the story.

Clearly everything that you feel is a problem is a problem.

The only problem there is that people actually thought Joe Judge was the next BB.

BB also has a ST background, so that was a very popular narrative when Judge was a candidate.

Again, the reasons that got Joe Judge and Matt Patricia hired are the same thing that got Flores hired (and will eventually get Mayo hired).

Teams continuously going back to that well has proven to have nothing to do with race. They’re just desperate to duplicate the standard of the last 20 years.

I never said I did.

Are you unaware of the narrative that was surrounding Judge at the time?

Are you unaware of the fact that people continue to hire BB stooges in the hopes that they get the next BB?

I didn’t say there was a quota. Somebody asked what was reasonable. What should be obvious is only 1 is absurd. I don’t see why it would be ridiculous that a league that legitimately groomed young talent couldn’t have 3-8. At the very least.

I don't give shit. Hire the best person should be the way to do things, but, as outlined elsewhere, the NFL is a fraternity. They recycle hire their friends via the good ol' boys network.

It's why Andy Reid was unemployed for like 2 days in an almost 30 year NFL coaching career, but Brian Flores and Hue Jackson will get blacklisted for life because they spilled the beans on the NFL's dirty little secret about rigging games. Brian Flores got fired for basically refusing to rig games, excuse me.

So yeah, either you do what they want, and maybe get fired and rehired somewhere else (like Andy)...or else.

I have a hard time envisioning a scenario where Brian Flores and/or Hue Jackson will ever be employed in the NFL again.

They're going to get PAID. Non-disclosure agreements. Shit like that.

Huh? 30% of nfl players. Are you saying 70% of black ncaa players make the nfl?

Let’s do some quick math. 70k college football players. Half are black, so 35k.
Roughly 1000 make the nfl so assume 700. So there are 34k black football players who leave college without an nfl career. Among those 34k are team captains and outstanding team leaders, some of the brightest football minds out there. Are you telling me that out of that 34k only ONE is good enough to be an nfl head coach? Are you telling me that shouldn’t be spilling with talent? These are undoubtedly the guys most likely to be effective as nfl coaches because they played the positions, they know how locker rooms work and most of them know the Xs and Os.

There is talent there and if the nfl isn’t tapping into it, shame on them for not trying harder.
