That may not be giving an educated and passionate fan base enough credit for recognizing this year's poor crop at the position, especially with no quarterback available with the star power coach Andy Reid demands. Joeckel, NFLDraftScout.com's top-rated prospect, played a significant, if somewhat unrecognized role in the rise of Ryan Tannehill a year ago and the Heisman campaign of Johnny Manziel. The Chiefs already boast a solid left tackle in Branden Albert but the former first round pick is entering free agency and could be looking for a big pay day, that frankly, his inconsistent play and durability doesn't really warrant.

At this point, anything and everything is pure speculation.

The fans will have a better idea of which way the Chiefs are leaning in March, when free agency begins.

If Albert, Bowe, Dorsey and/or Jackson are re-signed, those signing would be a pretty good indicator that they're planning to take a QB with their first round pick.

If Albert, Dorsey and/or Jackson are all allowed to walk, that would most likely signal that they're going OT/DT with their first round pick.

Reason Ryan got drafted 8 overall last year. He was a good Prospect.

It's just a little to early to get this bent out of shape. The combine, prodays etc haven't happened.

Someone will rise to the top, as always. I'd say there's a pretty good chance we take a QB, as position probably goes into eval when looking at BPA. I know it's fun to debate, but at this point we really have no idea.

Once Free agency, the combine, prodays shake out, then we can rip each others throats out.
