Their transparency is a load of shit when it comes to many flight delays and cancellations, and we all know "mechanicals" are often times used to cancel low-booked flights so they can cram people on a later flight. And last, **** them for bumping people for moving their own people around! They're a goddamned airline, fly a corporate jet there to pick them up and move them to their next location. It shouldn't be happening enough to be a financial problem not that $10K offers are what it might cost to get a seat. And double-**** them for only giving occasional updates "from the cockpit" when 150 are sitting back there while some dude is working on something that might lead to them missing a connection. That "from the cockpit" update, even if it's the same as the last one (which it should never be) should be every five minutes. |

The United Airlines passenger violently removed from a flight earlier this month has reached a settlement with the airline, according to multiple reports.
David Dao's attorney, Thomas Demetrio, praised the airline in a news release for taking full responsibility in its handling of the incident. "Mr. Munoz said he was going to do the right thing, and he has," Demetrio said in a news release, referring to United CEO Oscar Munoz. "In addition, United has taken full responsibility for what happened on Flight 3411, without attempting to blame others, including the City of Chicago. For this acceptance of corporate accountability, United is to be applauded." The amount of the settlement was not disclosed... http://thehill.com/policy/transporta...s-with-airline
