I thought it was a gamble but he could have a HUGE year, hes just about to turn 22 and with just hitting his physical prime everything should click (plus the Texans gave him some more help on the DL)

The thing I liked about the deal was the chance to pick up a talent like Beason with what is essentially an 8th rounder; plus back-to-back picks are just awesome.

Team 3B
QB - Eli Manning (28)
RB - Steve Slaton (23)
WR - Larry Fitzgerald (26)

DE - Richard Seymour (29)
DT - Casey Hampton (31)
LB - Karlos Dansby (27)
ILB - Jon Beason (24)
CB - Cortland Finnegan (25)

Not sure how LB works out yet, or anything, but I like the idea of fitting scheme to talent rather than the opposite. Plus, I'm 65% sure the bulk of my big, jumbled list for my 9th rounders will still be there.

Damn, wish I would have known you were just going to give your SECOND round pick away for an 8th round pick. I may have given up a seventh even!

When I get back from dinner, I'll post in the original header notes about trades, just so we can keep them all straight.

Well Beason was a make up pick that I made actually about the middle of the 3rd rounder, I was planning on taking Justin Tuck with that pick but shit happens, and he was kinda a huge reach at that point but I didn't really like the pick (it was a hurried pick and I'm looking for more of a thumper at MLB and Beason is an WLB/MLB in the 4-3 so ya...) well I was saying I was shopping Beason for the past 6 pages so....

A few have asked, "what do you want" and a couple have sent offers.....
I am mostly interested in moving up in the rookie draft. I will not make this pick though. Some offer will be accepted.

I'm still upset that it was only after the order was determined that it was decided "we'll reverse it for the rookie draft and then randomly assign an order for coaches"
