Yeah he has bad form there. Then again I wonder if any of our corners are trying to cover Hill with good form. You're supposed to back pedal until he penetrates the cushion (ahem) and then turn your hips to follow. That corner is respecting his speed and just starting out with the turn.

That cut will be open all day if guys do that.

That's what speed does.

Guys start flipping hips at the snap and you've got an 8 yard completion any time you want.

Just like Antonio brown does to guys every sunday

Yup; the throw from Bray is textbook. At worst, if he underthrows it, Robinson can use his body to shield the DB and get nice yardage even if it isn't a catch and run (hell, it's likely to be a PI as often as not).

Nitpicky, but he actually threw it a little to far up the field. If it's in fact a post, the wr had to turn up field a little more than usual.

Of course he may have been trying to keep it away from the safety more.

It's a reality of that kind of speed, though.

One thing I always did well was I could plant and cut hard with the best of them....because I was slow as shit. I just didn't have much speed to bleed off so it was easy to hammer that foot down and turn off it.

Hill's speed out of the blocks is so good that it takes him a bit to bleed it off. So he can either throw in another foot fire there (giving the DB some time to close down his hips and drive) or he can make the turn with a little more speed. If he chooses the latter, there's just not a very good way to keep from rounding it off. **** you, physics.

He actually does a pretty impressive job of getting himself slowed quickly enough to make an okay turn and convert that directly into acceleration. That's athletic ability that you can't teach or develop in any sort of training regimen. You're born with that shit or you aren't.

It's gonna be a shame when karma blows his knees out.

But that's what loft will get you; margin for error. Yeah, he may have thrown it too far up the field, but there was so much air under it that Robinson could run under it still.

That's exactly my point. The worst case scenario there went from an incompletion (if Alex throws that dart 3 yards wide like Bray did, it's incomplete) to merely a route adjustment that may have taken him towards a safety and gotten him tackled after a big gain, instead of towards open ground and a TD. The respective worst cases are night and day.

That's also why I don't have alot of confidence in Conley being really great in this system. It's physically tough to be a technician at that size.

But he seems to be having a good camp

His feet have worried me since we drafted him. It's a legit concern and if he fails, that will be why.

He's more of a change of pace player in this system, IMO; A 4th WR that you put in to keep defenses honest. Maybe a red zone guy that you send on drags.

There are systems he would work well in - vertical heavy systems like the Giants come immediately to mind. But I still question how well he fits in a true WCO.

I'd think he could make hay running those deep posts and such that Jackson ran accross from maclin in philly, but hill probably fits that better
