WR - obviously. But shit man, Rice and Kelce are two premier pass-catchers at this point. That's as many as most teams have (though admittedly, not as many as Buffalo). For all the talk about Miami's explosive offense, that's what THEY had - Waddle and Hill. Can you name Miami's 3rd leading receiver? Some guy named Durham Smythe - I shit you not.

2 isn't ideal, but it WILL do the job. And I think Hardman is still someone teams have to account for. I think we're okay there. Not spectacular, but okay.

And that's the ONLY area where there are real issues. The defense, top to bottom and left to right, is solid as a rock. Not a single obvious flaw. They can do anything and they're coached by a guy who seems to be in complete control of his instrument and has been all year.

The OL is good. Nobody is ever happy with the OL here in KC because we saw the mountaintop in the DV years. No, the OL isn't THAT good - but I think we probably have the best offensive line left in the playoffs at this point. We have two above average pass blocking OTs and a very versatile and capable interior line. Should we be running the ball through the C gap a lot? No, no we should not. But that's not our style anyway.

I don't see an achilles heel here. I don't see anything that can be exploited. It's just a deep, well coached, very experienced football team.
1) Feel like the non-Chiefs fan is just a little late to the party when it comes to recognizing how good Rice is now. Come Sunday night, good chance everyone's eyes are opened to the reality that the Chiefs do have enough weapons to get by now.

Yeah, everyone can watch last week's game and see Rice is good. But those who have watched every snap this year recognize the massive difference that's shown these past two games. The light bulb is on. They don't have to manufacture touches anymore. Credit to the kid for still putting up some impressive numbers even with almost all manufactured touches in games early on, but now he is a fully integrated target who appears on the same page as Mahomes from snap to whistle.

2) I've always been amazed at how the OL seems to play its best during the playoffs since '18. I'm sure you could attribute it to many things - Mahomes stepping his game up and having excellent pocket presence, the cold weather, expanding the playbook, etc. But it needs to continue, that's for sure.

Yeah, and Mahomes has routinely gone to his top guys in the playoffs, which is why I wasn't seriously concerned in the regular season about the big rotation and so forth, as long as they found that one other guy... even in :13, it was the Tyreek and Kelce show and Pringle was the next receiver with like 30 yards. Last year they got a couple good individual performances by MVS and JJSS in back to back games, but not like Mahomes was spreading it around where 5 guys had 50+ yards. I think Pacheco was the 3rd best receiver in one or two of those games.

The other guys still obviously have to step up to the bar of catching the damn ball.

There's not enough depth at DT to be excited by Nnadi's injury. Wharton's injury last year sucked for his development and Pennel isn't the same player anymore. I'll welcome Nnadi back in this lineup.

Agree re: Rice and the OL.

With the Bills injuries at the second and third level of defense, it seems like the potential to rip off some big YAC is there. Buffalo is really good and diligent about trying to punch or rip the ball out, so Rice and company will have to cover up the ball.

If they can do that - if KC gets through this one without turning it over on a fumble or a tipped interception - I think the post facto story is going to be "where did that Chiefs offense come from?"

The word MVP is also used frequently when describing Allen. For a player that's never accomplished anything, he gets mad respect from the media.

Hell, at least Burrow made a Super Bowl and was a star in the NCAA.

Which is strange since Blake Bortles has the same # of AFC Championship Game appearances as Josh Allen.

Rashee Rice in the last 7 weeks, when he started getting more playing time, has caught 51 balls for 639 yards.

That extrapolated to 124 catches for 1,551 yards on a 17-game season.

He and Kelce are both having 100 yard games this weekend.

Maybe this will be the year for Buffalo. They’ve been pretty fortunate in their 6 game winning streak. That punt return against Miami is an example of their good fortune recently.

If Johnson plays, there should probably be an investigation, because the chances of a guy with 4 career concussions and 2 just this season clearing on a short week are beyond slim.

One thing nobody is talking about is Joe Brady having to go up against Spags in a playoff game. We all know what Reid has done to Buffalo's D in the playoffs. We should have a huge coaching advantage on both sides of the ball.
