The only ones I've ever noticed were Cassel and McCluster, but I don't ever remember you being so fervent about those until long after it was obvious they were ****ing dumpster fires.

Weren't you frothing at the mouth after the Hillis "Bane" signing? Look how that turned out. Sometimes signings look good and end up sucking, while others are the exact opposite.

I don't know much about the guy (I'd wager you don't either, outside of your Holy Grail PFF rankings and a couple gifs you just dredged up), but he's a veteran player at a position in which we're extremely thin. His signing doesn't rule out the likelihood that we'll look to draft another CB so I'll give the guy a chance in red and gold before I crucify him.

Catch percentage looks decent. Young, athletic player with CB1 experience. What's to hate? Not a huge contract.

Dolphins ran a lot of Cover 1 with a Robber over top. They like their SS Reshad Jones a lot and gave him the ability to rome around, he had a very similar year to the Falcons SS, very solid.

Sean Smith is a solid player against tall, slow receivers that he can get his hands on and doesn't need fluid hips to defend. He struggles against any player that can burn right by him and good route running.

He is putrid in zone and he is better in man, but he's not great in it. The Dolphins didn't run THAT much zone as their base defense was cover 1, but they did like to run it whenever they blitzed.
