Ford cannot set an edge, stop the run or stay healthy.

Clark can do all of the above, and get to the passer. He is also younger, and doesn't have a history of back issues. Ford, played two good years out of 5, during his contract years. Clark has consistently gotten better every year.

It's a solid trade. You give up a very late round 1st, and NEXT years 2nd for one of the premier players at his position which also happens to be a position of need. He's only 26 years old, durable, and has a high motor. You could easily miss with the 29th pick, or get a guy that takes 3 years to become what they are getting right now.
