Disappointed in McCluster
Bla bla bla, he's a playmaker, he has two touchdowns already, whatever.

He has seven catches for 93 yards. 1/3 of that yardage came on one play. At least two of those are screen passes I believe.

That ****ing sucks.

This guy needs to be a threat as a WIDE RECEIVER. He hasnt made a single play down the field. I'm not even talking 20 yards. How about 10? How about coming off the line, putting your foot in the ground, getting open and giving Cassel a target?

I'm not willing to accept the idea that Cassel is so god awful he makes all our wide receivers look terrible.

McCluster hasn't done shit yet. And he was utter garbage in Indy.

Don't buy any of his ****ing t-shirts.

True about not living up to his draft billing, but that was Pioli's mistake. It's not Dex's fault that he was drafted a couple of rounds too early or that KC's needs were too great back then to justify picking him when they did. Dex is having a good year and just might be developing into a weapon that can be counted on to contribute in many ways. He could be playing his way into justifying his second round selection on some level. The needle is definitely pointing north now.

No it's not. While he is an effective punt returner, he is not even average, IMO as a slot receiver.

We need an upgrade.

I have to admit, I have been more than pleasantly surprised by McCluster's play (and speed) this year.

I'd still prefer him as a fourth receiving option at best behind Bowe, Marquis Lee, and God-willing an upgrade at tight end.

Since the bye week, dexter McCluster has had 3 first downs in every game except for yesterday where he wasn't really needed (the second Denver game... If you count a goal line catch where he was facemasked one yard from the goal line) . He has 21 receptions 177 yards and an average 8.4 YPC. Three of those first downs were on critical 4th quarter drives.

Based on the last 4 games, he would be on pace for 84 receptions for 708 yards. He'd be on pace for 36 first downs.

Dex has been one of the brightest spots in our latest offensive surge.
