Andy, please let Mahomes be Mahomes

He’s not a pocket passer. Maybe someday he will be but we are 9 games into the season. Mahomes as a pocket passer this year ain’t happening.

You want to waste a prime year of Hill, Kelce and a cheap salary year of Mahomes, keep trying to make him a pocket passer this year.

He saved your ass and the season by being Mahomes and making the game clinching play.

Please for the love of god, and to save our season, let Mahomes be who is really is…. Mahomes.

Yeah appears to somewhat be trolling for effect for most of this thread after reading through all of it. But still, wow. We are talking about a guy who was essentially the best QB in the league for 4 years running until a month ago. Any non-Chiefs fan reading this shit has to be laughing hysterically.

Oh and I should mention we also won with our stellar 13 point performance because their kicker missed 2 easy FGs.

Mahomes needs to go under center more. It’s hard to play action pass out of the shotgun. I know Mahomes has mostly worked out of that for his career but we have to do that more.

He has been inaccurate as well. Sure the play calling and dropped passes don't help but he isn't helping himself. We all want Pat to be the Pat that won the Super Bowl but right now, this season, he isn't very good. And that's just the reality of it.
I agree- you can’t blame this on Andy. It’s not ALL Patrick, but Patrick is part of the problem right now- He is in a FUNK. He can come
out of it/ but its a bad Funk….

I agree. So the problem isn't a system or having to be in the pocket or any of that. The problem is that he's playing terribly right now.

Don't forget the INT negated by penalty.

He has all the talent/tools.

It's definitely mental.

I still think Britt Reid sucked the mojo out of this team. Probably more on a subconscious level than anything else. Kelce went from "Let's GOOOOOOO" to "Is it time to go home yet?" They just aren't fired up. That and they don't have a RB who can take it to the house. They just aren't as dangerous on offense.

They haven't looked much different since the defeat in Tampa.

The problem is that he's a headcase right now.

As that last play proved, the old Pat is still in there and none of the physical skills are diminished. He just needs to work his way out of this funk. Right now he's completely in his own head.

Meh, that was a free play. More worried about the INT that was just dropped on a pass he never should have made.

Patrick knew that was a free play. So I don’t hold the INT against him.

The almost INT that would have wiped out Buttkicker’s unbelievable 55 yarder (Buttkicker for President) would have changed the game, however.

I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt that he doesn't throw that pass if it's not a free play....

The hate I have for Britt Reid is honestly at an unhealthy level.

Dynasties should be ended by players aging out of their primes or younger teams rising up and taking the mantle.

Not by deadbeat coaches' sons driving drunk.

**** that piece of shit. Goddamn stupid mother****er.

Watching SNF, the Rams are struggling, can't score, can't run the ball and can't protect so they have now decided to roll out every pass so far in the 2nd half and with good success so far.

We need to impose our will on defenses and not let them dictate things.

ok, that's fair.

Wasn't too long ago that same scenario cost us a SB appearance.
