We've signed about 3 guys since the Hill trade and not a one of them or any combination of all of them be better than Hill.

Perhaps when all signings, draft pics, and trades are done we'll be better off but in the moment the bed is darkly colored and smells of hog farm...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Did you really think the people we were going to sign in the third wave of free agency were going to be better than Hill? Did you really think the verdict on this trade would be figured out in year 1? Let alone week 1 before the draft that netted us 3 picks this year?

Come on, man.

Yup you can’t even begin to evaluate it till all 5 picks are in which will be over a year and even then it takes time to know how you are there.

No, clearly Veach got Jermaine Carter in the hopes he could make up for the loss of Hill. It was his plan all along

They can just add a team option 2nd year and restructure his base salary to spread it out.

You can feel that way, but I sure as hell hope it is us. We need a true #1 corner who can line up against the WR's in our conference. I've seen a few responses about Ward being compared to Bradberry but they aren't in the same league. Ward made Jamar Chase look like Randy Moss...

I'm not interested unless the Giants are picking up A LOT of his salary.
