A statement true of every NFL team playing any other NFL team, except maybe the Raiders.

Probably jinxed us with that down the road, but I don't see them mustering a game to beat any of the upper half of the league right now.

As long as our defense plays disciplined like they did against the Pats, there will be plays to be made if the 49ers choose to throw it a lot. Kaepernick is usually pretty late in his reads and tends to stare his intended targets down without bothering to look anyone off.

Stop the run.

Take the 1st read away when they try to pass.

Get pressure in his face.

That'll go a long way towards us winning this game if Sutton manages to do that with his gameplan. Of course our guys have to keep aware of when he decides to run.

if we can put kaepernick on edge like he has been the last couple of weeks we should be ok.

The 49ers defense can bail them out it seems like more times than not, but looking at there opener there defense gave up a 3 score lead and there offense failed over and over to complete a scoring drive so they aren't dominant atm in terms of whose the better team in the NFL right now

Run defense is key. stop frank gore and force more passes then interceptions will be made. while our run needs to run down their throats.

Get the early lead. both teams are made to eat up the clock.

20-17 to whoever gets the first score.

This ig s a game that I would, if I was Bob Sutton, seriously consider trotting out a 4-3 base defense.

If you can contain Gore and get the 9ers in 2nd and long, 3rd and long situations, you can force Kap into mistakes, because he still hasn't really progressed as a pocket QB.

You stop the run, you can win.
