I remember the 2017 Draft, there was a video clip of Nagy talking to Mahomes. You could tell those guys have strong chemistry. We will see if this turns out to be a good move. There is at least a warm bond from the past to build on.

No his former Bear players. Don't think one player including their franchise QB has said darn I wished he had stayed. They were all happy he got shit canned and lost the locker room.

Just seems odd to me that Bears fans so routinely crap on a guy who went 28-20 with Mitch Trubisky under center. Granted, a 9-7 average isn't getting you to the HoF, but it's not exactly Romeo Crennel.

Anyone see the video of Mitch trying to throw to his left? YOU try winning 10 games w/ a QB that can only throw to one side of the field.

I just can't hold 2021 against him. I've rarely seen a coach stuck in a more untenable position than the one the Bears put Nagy in. You just cannot ask a guy to develop a young QB, demand he win football games and then give him a vet who doesn't something completely different than the rookie he's supposed to be developing.

At least go get him Tyrod Taylor or Jacoby Brisset. Hell, stick with Mitch if you have to; even CJ Beathard or Brett Hundley would've been a better choice. Go get him someone that's going to move the pocket around a little bit so he can build an offense around that and slowly work Fields into it. But to give him a QB that needs a completely different approach than the rookie he's supposed to develop was just setting him up to fail.

Love wasn't any more successful than Nagy and he had a lot more to work with. Still not sure how he could take that defense, add Cutler in his prime, and get Jeff Fisher quality results.
