Note to Herm: Wake the **** up

This is coming from your biggest (and possibly your only) supporter on Chiefs Planet.

If you send Tyler Thigpen out there one more time, you deserve the inevitable firing that will result. You thought he could play and you were very very wrong. Move on now.

Rebuilding doesn't mean re-loading. It essentially means that this team is an expansion team. Instead of going out and plugging holes with free-agents, they've decided to draft players, play them immediately and play the old guys on the roster until they're replaced next off-season.

They're building a team from the ground up. It's going to be a bumpy ride until all of their needs can be addressed. Then hopefully, they can draft for depth or move around and grab a superstar in 2010.
The coaching is piss poor. They can blame it on rebuildking for a few more years and keep thier job. I got that memo.

You realize they just got dismantled by two other teams that are also rebuilding right?

Are you implying that the play-calling is bad on the offense and the defense?

Or that the position coaches aren't getting the most out of each individual player and position?

Are you implying that Dwayne Bowe isn't being coached up enough to catch every ball? Or that Gunther isn't preparing his linebackers to play?

Or could it be that Dwayne Bowe needs to concentrate more during the game and that the linebackers don't have any talent to play the game?

This simple "the coaching sucks" is bullshit.

Define it.

Two other teams that are much further along. Both of those teams has been "rebuilding" for years, i.e., picks at the top of the draft. Both of those teams have QB's taken in the top five of the NFL draft and both teams have far more talent overall than the Chiefs.

Not to rehash but Vermeil's drafts killed any opportunity for the Chiefs to avoid a full-on rebuild.

Quite true. It's kind of shocking, to tell the truth.

By the way, has anyone made sure that Herm has a pistol and a cyanide capsule in his top desk drawer?

bullshit is a good definition. Playing not to lose. Look at the offensive schemes. Looks the same as Solari's did. And he got canned for it. Either GAiley is Solari's twin brother or Herm is sticking his finger in Gailey's pie. Same goes for the defense. These are not cover 2 players. Let Gun call the defense that fits the players and I bet you see different results. Herm keep comparing things to the Tampa days. That appears to be all he knows. Well guess what the Tampa days are here....12 losses in a row.
The coaching sucks.

You just defined it...

Thanks, you took the words right out of most our mouths. Our coaching staff is killing this teams development... rebuilding or not, this bunch of ass caps cant get it done.

Its time to move on.

IMO, you could bring back Bill Walsh from the dead and he's not winning more than 2 games with this roster.

I am by NO stretch of the imagination implying that Herm's coaching staff is great or even good. But with so many holes on the offensive and defensive side of the ball, a kicker who can't make a 26 yarder and absolutely no depth anywhere but at the running back position (and how ironic is that!), it's impossible to judge this staff.

Well considering this teams talent is made up mostly from 3 drafts and offseasons with Herm, this team is right were most thought it would be.

Over all marginal talent drafted from 2006 on and a coaching staff with the IQ of a dead tree stump.

You can judge Herms staffs from his time with the jets til now. Its pretty telling how Herm operates.

Dane,

Whose fault is it after three years that the team has less talent now (in your opinion) than it did in 2005?

He really hasn't lost me, Mr. Fax. I am just completely perplexed by the whole Thigpen situation.

I retain my belief that when Croyle gets back, people will be shocked how much better we are in the 2nd half of the year. And I still know that Herm's history is very impressive in terms of getting teams with marginal talent to win big games in December and January.

Atlanta and Oakland both went out and blew a ton of free agents. They are farther long than we are for sure. We are at the bottom of the bottom, they are at the bottom.
