Aaron Murray, anyone?

Just watched him today, and he looks solid. They even said that Tony Dungy advised that if he comes out early that the Chiefs should take him with the number one pick.

What sayeth the group?

If you believe Geno can be a franchise QB, there is no offer worth trading for. None. The Redskins really paid too little last year for RGIII.

one of these QBs will separate themselves and breakout after the combine and will be the clear #1.

if you thought the Chiefs were slated at 15 in taking Dontari Poe in January until his freak combine, think again

You're gonna have to start extrapolating some possibilities for that. Tell me:

-Who the team is
-Who they want
-What makes the guy they want so valuable to them
-Why that guy won't be available when they pick
-What they'd be willing to give up

I'm sick and ****ing tired of people saying, "Well, if we could trade down that'd be sweet lol."

Start dealing with specifics or get the **** out

cause there are more needs than just QB, we need a CB desperatly, we need another safety, we may need another LT.

With the gap between wilson, smith, barkley, and murray so close why not trade back around #10 and pick up another second or 3rd. We would still be in a spot to take 1 of the top QB's and also fill other needs.

However if anyone of those QB's kills it in the interviews and skills showing and we have a plan in place to fill some of those other holes. like DMC in FA hopefully. Then lets take him at 1 whoever it is

Buffalo has publicly said they want to fix the QB, if they are hot on a QB and willing to deal lets take their spot at 8, let them have whoever they have their eye on and we'll take which 1 falls to us. we swap 1st and they give us their 2nd. he can still take 1 of the top QB's and have 2 second rounders in the top ten.

we could potentialy fill 3 of our holes in the 1st 2 rounds and cover the rest in FA.

you guys fail to realize you cant just "TRADE BACK" there has to be a partner/team wanting a player that badly to give up a ransom to TRADE UP in the first place

what player out there is that coveted that a team wants at #1. Someone is going to really trade up for Luke ****ing Joeckel? hes not even the next Jake Long or Joe Thomas in projections. It's a really weak class for top picks, and there is not any leverage for the Chiefs to trade back even if they wanted to and called a bunch of teams and begged.

Draft Geno & Murray just like the Redskins did with RGIII & Cousins.

Not sure why specifics are needed, but there you go.

What if you don't?

And FTR, I'd have given up the Chiefs 2012 draft and their first rounder in 2013 for RGIII.

Although Daboll probably would have killed him.

So rather than reach on the best qb in the draft, you want to reach for a lesser qb so the chiefs can have a few extra 2nd round picks?

Gtfo.

I'm convinced people who have opinions other than 'draft geno smith' haven't watched film on any of the available quarterbacks. And if they have, they watched his Baylor game and are basing everything on that. He's the guy. No question.

If you don't, you probably aren't qualified to judge qb play since you're not sure what you're looking at.

If it's QB, here my answer today, which again, is way too early to determine:

Which team?: Arizona, Cleveland, Buffalo, Jacksonville, Jets, Oakland

Player?: They may want Smith/Wilson/Barkley or even Jones. Hard to tell since The Combines haven't happened.

Why move?: Teams fall in love with players each and every year. This year won't be any different.

Why that guy won't be available when they pick
: Why does this need to be asked? The Chiefs have the #1 overall pick.

Compensation:
Depends on which team. If Jacksonville loves Smith but the Chiefs are happy with Barkley/Wilson/etc., their 2013 second rounder. If it's another team, it could be anything from two #1's and two #2's and more.

Personally, I think it's silly to discount a move when these QB's haven't gone through The Combines and Pro Days.

What?

So you're saying that if Andy Reid decides to pass on Geno Smith, he's clueless?

Are you functionally reeruned?

The gap between SMith, Wilson, Barkley, and Murray is so damn close that ANY of them is a reach at #1, but if we identify 1 that we WANT then by all means lets take him, if we can get a partner and move back some spots to fix other spots as well then by all means i'm for moving back and getting 1 of the others.

Any of the QB's in the discussion that could be had at #8 would be good. Then we MAY still be reaching but atleast we solve it and pick up another good pick, Hell say buffalo does the deal, we swap and we get their second. We could use their first and second round picks on Qb's and use OUR second round pick on say a CB or LT if need be. So we'd be filling our #1 need with 2 very high picks while also filling another area of need with another high pick. win win
