Seattle getting another attempt at beating KC's noise record

Just saw it on the local news here that they are getting another shot at it again this season and are targeting their monday night game against NO. Sounds pretty lame to me that they are already getting another shot at it.

Build a stadium that makes artificial noise. ..promote apps that make noise for fans to use..and then act like you're loud. We've been doing this FOR DECADES. THE KINGDOME WASN'T HALF AS LOUD AS ARROWHEAD. ..SEATTLE NEEDED APPS AND A STADIUM THAT AMPLIFIES NOISE TO DO WHAT KC HAS DONE FOR DECADES. ..

These people don't care about the product on the field. They care about the spectacle of it all and "belonging" to something - anything. That's why they threw an ever-loving fit over SOC last year. We were disparaging the thing to which they belonged and they didn't like it one bit. Now there's a certificate from Guiness and it means more to them than a SuperBowl because they belonged to the effort to get it. They'll do everything they can to keep that $3500 certificate in KC. That's fine with me. Knock yourselves out. I care about what happens between the lines. I want to win. Period. Certainly noise contributes to that. Make all the noise you want to make. I'll be there with you making it. But I do not care one bit about Pro-Bowlers, Walter Payton Man-of-the-Year awards, sell-out streaks, STH waiting lists, Guiness, or any other piece of crap award other than a Hunt and then a Lombardi. Bring those to me.
Damn..... Nail on the head

We say they have a more amplified stadium, they say we have 10,000 more fans in the stands. Until you put an equal number of fans in the same stadium, you will never truly know who is louder. It's all stupid. Let's watch some football.

At the end of the day, who has the loudest stadium for opposing offenses to fear? I guarantee you nobody likes to play in Arrowhead, or Seattle, or even Dungver for that matter. Loud is loud. It's just loudest at Arrowhead. Yay.

I've seen numerous places claiming that it was done at the end of the game after the Catapano sack, but if you have a look at the video, the record was announced on the jumbotron BEFORE that sack happened.

At the game they announced it in the final seconds-lots of people left and the crowd got loud and stayed loud until the parking lot.

I am not sure how many had left when we set it-prob 10 k? So Seattle can whine all they want- even when they are full strength in their half dome with their phone apps- they are not as loud as Arrowhead 3/4 full.

I don't know how many penalties the Faders had because of the crowd but it was a huge factor in the beatdown.

I know when they announced it, I was there.
And it was announced well before the Catapano sack when numerous places have reported the 137.5 happened.

I'm just pissed that it took a record attempt to get our stadium up to our standards again. We should be loud EVERY home game. And I'm tired of seeing random fans of teams at the games. In person, I saw a Raider fan at Arrowhead AGAINST THE COWBOYS. Then I saw a Bears fan this past weekend there on tv. WTF is going on?

I think it took an above average TEAM to awaken the stadium. If they had tried that shit in the last handful of years it wouldn't have happened. The two things go hand in hand.
As far as the random fans, Arrowhead is a hell of an environment. I don't think it's a bad team that other fans are there. How many times have you heard it's the tailgating capitol of the NFL? A Bears fan may want to check it out and not wait until 2015 (I believe) to do so.....just my .02
