With all respect --because he is one of the Chiefs all time greats, (and I have his jersey), when decent teams make their number one defensive objective to stop Charles, it makes it pretty difficult, unless we have other fairly viable offensive options.

I listen to Bronco pregame interviews and when asked what is the key to the game, the say, "stop Charles, stop Charles, stop Charles."

Some people may be. He likes the throw the ball unnecessarily. His in-game management is hilarious at times. But, I do believe he's a great player's coach. Those guys probably love him. So there's that.

He wanted Smith terribly and had a master-plan for him, so I'm still waiting to see that unfold. Any time now would be cool.

Heh...KC could have drafted Kelvin Benjamin instead of Dee Ford and it's frustrating. Then I wonder, would have made any difference when Alex ignores WR's?

We threw the ball down the field on the very first play from scrimmage. It was hilariously off target. I said when they did it that it would be the only deep ball we threw the whole game.

Isn't this 3 straight games with 150+ Rushing yards given up?

Can't win football games like that.
Haven't we won most of our games this season without Johnson and Berry, including a massacre of New England?

You can only mask a deficiency for so long until teams start marking their targets.

My hopes for the season are simply to limp into the playoffs and somehow, some way steal a win so the board can finally put that poor dead horse in the ground. Crazy long shot at this point, but I'm still hoping... anyone else?
**** no. What would this bag o' shit squad accomplish in the play offs that it hasn't accomplished since you were watching 'Power Rangers'?

The playoffs would be the absolute worst thing that can happen to your boy.

The team has to lose out for the FO to realize they aren't one or two guys away from winning anything significant.

How can anyone look at that, and the fact that we have a total of 0 TD passes to WRs all season, and say we have a complete QB? Why is it any wonder that opposing teams can completely shut our offense down when we're that one dimensional?

Saw a claim last night that Andrew Luck has more TD's over 20 yards than Alex Smith has attempts over 20 yards.

As a defense, would you rather have to defend the entire field or an incredibly small portion of the entire field?

And this was supposed to be year 2 of Smith in this offense. He was supposed to build on the playoff game from last year.

****ing pathetic.

Yep. Deal is though he's the type of QB that needs a strong supporting cast. His cast got worse from last season and so did he...If you choose his type of QB to lead your franchise, you better surround him with talent because he's not going to make those around him any better. The Chiefs didn't and so it's no surprise they are where they are now. The "surprise" was winning off 5 in a row.
