Bienemy is a token interview.

He will be back with the Chiefs.

Nagy's years was when Reid started to really flash the innovative spread concepts. Nagy didn't wait for shit. The Jets tried to poach him away to be their OC, but KC blocked him and promoted him to co-coordinator. Nagy wasn't an OC until 2017. So he was basically hired as a HC immediately after becoming OC.

Bieniemy unlike either of those guys leads a #1 offense. He has a proven elite tree, where Pederson didn't. And he doesn't have 2 years with Reid, he has 7. He wouldn't be my #1 choice, but the dude deserves a shot, and he's far better than most of the horrendous candidates from 2019.

It wouldn’t ****ing matter if it were Pederson, Nagy, Bieniemy, or your dumbass we’d have the #1 offense. Are you ****ing kidding me with this shit? To give Bieniemy credit as the leader is either intellectually dishonest or in your case ****ing reeruned.

This. Is. Andy. Reid’s. Offense.

Get that through your head you stupid mother****er.

Also, all of the Kitchen’s shit is deflection. If you go back I mentioned Kitchen’s once, and that was because he was a white HC fired after one year. That’s it. I also tried to clarify that and you ignored it to keep deflecting some more.

The comparison I originally made was with Cam Cameron because they both finished dead last. You got away from that. Not me. I made that very clear.

Then I went on to say when you finish dead ****ing last, your job is never safe. Why the **** is that so hard to understand? It’s a simple concept. Don’t stick out as being the ****ing worst if you don’t want to give ownership/management a reason to fire you after just one season.

At the end of the day, as bad as the Cardinals roster was, that’s what happened. He gave them an out. Flores had a similarly bad roster this year and he managed to impress. I can give you multiple examples of HIM being successful, but you still haven’t given me one for Wilks.

If you can’t , then how easy do you think it was for the Cardinals to hit the reset button and get an offensive minded HC that could develop the QB that fell into their lap? That’s what they really wanted/needed and who can blame them? It’s smarter than relying on an OC that’s going to be gone with any success.

Theres an assumption of racism but half of the teams looking to hire have or have had very recently either a black franchise qb or hc.

Bullshit. It was sloppy whataboutism and I called you out on it. You were implying that because kitchens and Cameron were fired, that makes wilks' firing any less WTF. Wilks' firing was bizarre and sudden. Kitchens' firing was expected and deserved. Cameron is a better example but everyone knew he was a lame duck hire and he was fired because parcells pushed regime change. You know why nobody talks about any of those? Because both teams acknowledged that the GM was part of the mess and both GMs got shitcanned alongside the head coach.

Stop trying to explain away it was fired. I agree it had nothing to do with race. But it was a shit move from a GM who should have been fired. Again, the best comparison is chudzinski. He was fired in the same wtf way as Wilks. The difference is the browns were so embarrassed by it that they fired mike Lombardi for it. Keim on the other hand stayed even after a string of embarrassments.

I would think that at this point, owners would understand that the organizational skills are what make great head coaches. It's not really the X's and O's. I mean, it IS, but more important is the STRUCTURE.

This is why Harbaugh is a great coach. And it's Reid's best attribute as well, and why his assistants are generally successful. It's what people SHOULD be learning from Belichick, but his assistants largely don't have that skillset.

Doesn't baseball forbid coaching changes until after the World Series? They have a way shorter off season. There has to be a better way for the NFL than penalizing OC's/DC's for being successful.

Does my current job pay hundreds of thousands of dollars? And are the jobs I'm pursuing going to pay millions?

Yeah, if it really mattered to me I'd take a year off in a heartbeat.

This is one of the dumber excuses out there. You are hoping to pick THE coach that will lead your team to glory for years to come but you will take a lesser candidate just because he's available 4 weeks earlier the first year?

The Dolphins didn't have any problem waiting until after the SB to get Flores and the 49ers didn't have any problem waiting to get Shanahan from the Falcons after their SB. If it's your #1 guy, you wait.

This is just an excuse.

The idea that there is racism in everything annoys us. Some people see racism where there is none. Show me the proof and then I'll be on your side. You can't just throw out that racism card without any solid proof and expect everyone to buy-in.

Most people get that. Nobody is propping bieniemy up as anything but a middle of the road head coaching option. It's staylor who's turned it into a bizarre crusade against any idea that bieniemy has been slighted in this. He derserves a shot and I hope he gets it. Meanwhile, I'm happy we get to keep him.

I completely agree. I have a really hard time believing it has anything to do with it. There is a diversity problem in the NFL and I don't know how you solve it, because it's not like a lot of obvious great minority coaches out there in the pipeline. Most people here are annoyed by the racism accusations. When someone starts taking it up as a crusade and playing the victim card... That's when it gets ridiculous. I don't believe white coaches are over represented but they're certainly not victims. They're doing just fine.

The only thing I was “implying” is that getting fired after your first year isn’t something exclusive to black head coaches. Just because you interpreted it as a direct comparison doesn’t mean that was the case and even after I clarified you still chose to deflect.

There is nothing WTF or bizarre about a last place HC getting ****ing fired. What did Wilks do better than Cameron? How was he any more successful in year one than him? If Jimmy G doesn’t get hurt Wilks is 1-15 just like Cameron. His team was no better. Let me guess totally different ballpark though right you butt****ing moron?

The Dolphins went from 6-10 to 1-15, while the Cardinals went from 8-8 to 3-13. They both went backwards by a difference of 5 games. How the **** was Wilks significantly better? You can’t answer that because he wasn’t in any way shape or form. You’re just going to deflect with excuses as if you can’t do that with Cameron.

With all that said, I’m still acknowledging that it wasn’t as simple as he sucked. That just made it an easier decision. There’s nothing bizarre about wanting a guy that can develop QB’s as your HC when you’re taking a second one in back to back years and investing the #1 overall pick the second time. You keep glossing over this to argue semantics when it’s the most important part. Acknowledge it beyond a few words or shut the **** up already.

Because Steve Keim hired a defensive coach to transition to a 4-3, blew the roster up, then decided a year later he wanted an offense and a 3-4. That is not Wilks fault. That's a flip flop. It's not exactly common for the same GM to hire and fire a coach after one year for non performance related issues. And during that year Keim made enormous tactical errors. Trading up for Rosen, hiring Mike mccoy only to fire him, getting a dui that led to him missing training camp. This wasn't some brilliant tactical adjustment. This was damage control for the GM completely shitting the bed and everyone knows Wilks was thrown completely under the bus for it.

You know what the common thread is with cam Cameron Freddie kitchens, and chudzinski is? Their GM was fired too. Wilks firing is nothing like Cameron or kitchens firing. It was like chudzinskis firing. And despite your whataboutism the browns got destroyed for that firing too. And unlike the Cardinals, their gm was fired too.
