Students in the Los Angeles School District are required to provide an updated vaccination card in order to enroll in school. If you don't have an updated card, you're required to have the vaccinations before the children are allowed in the school.

The same policy was intact at the children's private preschool they attended.

I hate to break it to you all but movie theater chains will disappear over the course of the next decade.

The entertainment business has been very interested in Premium Video on Demand for quite some time and with the success of Trolls 2 and movies that were previously scheduled to sell at venues like SXSW, some of which are going straight to Amazon, movie theaters just won't have a sustainable business for much longer.

I'm sure that Mom & Pop and Fine Arts theaters will exist and there will probably be a few theaters left for massive blockbusters and IMAX. But the days of 16+ Multiplexes were dwindling before COVID-19 and with AMC filing Chapter 11, we're sure to see less movie theaters in the coming years.

The virus sped up the inevitible.

This will probably decrease life expectancy worldwide. Life insurance premiums will go up if any part of the policy period covers you past age 50. I also don’t think I need to worry about making it to 90 and outliving my retirement savings.

There’s new viruses every year or so. There’s so damn many of them in multiple species worldwide but they just haven’t made the jump yet to humans.

Chronic wasting disease is one that affects deer but just hasn’t jumped to us yet. I’d imagine it will at some point.

We’re quick to forget and move on. I just don’t see sports and large events going away for that long

Look, I work in the largest hospital in the state of LA. I see first hand the suffering behind the glass and it kills me. I have a wife, kids and grand kids. What I have learned from this is that we have to live our lives and we have to love the ones we love more than we ever did before. In the scope of this reality, our loved ones are our strength. The world has changed but life moves forward and it goes on. Be well my CP brothers and live life to its fullest!

The new norm will change and that is a fact - until a vaccine is developed, this will not go away. My honest opinion is that this is going to get worse before it gets better. Meaning these idiot states opposing regulations are just opening us to vulnerability.
