I wonder if it's a net positive career move to jump from an OC position on a powerhouse, well-run team to become a head coach on a disorganized, weak team. I guess it's probably a net positive because those are usually the only teams that hire new head coaches, so it's how you break into the head coaching ranks. But I bet there are a bunch of failed head coaches who look back wistfully at how much they enjoyed being a coordinator on a successful team.

Exactly. Cracked me up when people pulled the racism card when he wasn’t hired. First off, he had plenty of interviews. Maybe, just maybe he didn’t impress.

Especially an OC for Mahomes under Reid. Doesn’t get much better/easier than that.

If I were him, I’d think hard about it.

Second biggest media market in the US, 20 million people in the Los Angeles Basin, $5.8 billion dollar stadium, the best weather in the country and a young QB that may not be Patrick Mahomes but could be just a tier below.

If the Chargers can figure out how to keep their players relatively healthy, they could be an AFC contender for a decade.
