Home Depot vs Lowe's.

I love the offseason!

Where does your loyalty stand between the two? Do you notice a difference for certain items? Do you mainly stick to shopping at one?

Poll!!!!

It used to be Lowe's... but now it's strictly Menards.

Lowes is slightly more expensive on most items but has some better service and stores are a little nicer.

I've thrown plenty of business to both of them - I don't find one overwhelmingly better than the other.

They are both about 5-6 miles away from me, but Lowes is slightly easier to get into, traffic-wise.

Lowes is better lit, which matters to my aging eyeballs. It also seems slightly cleaner, less dingy. If those types of things make me a women, I guess I better start squatting to pee.

Menards irritates me, for some reason. The rebate program bugs me.

There is an Ace less than a mile away - which is very convenient for smaller items.

Home Depot is 10 minutes away from me. Lowes almost 30 minutes, therefore HOme Depot gets most of my business

If I want lumber I go to a local to Texas lumberyard, McCoys.
If I want tools, electrical etc, I go to Home Depot
If I want cabinets, cabinet hardware, or plumbing fixtures I hit Lowes
